4.0 out of 5 stars Really great for novices
This kickboxing station has been great for me as a novice kickboxer. The arms are adjustable upwards and downwards which is great for punches and different kicking heights. I'm 5'5" so the speed bag is at a perfect height for me at the highest setting. If you're tall you might have to set it on top of something to elevate it. The only other complaint I have is that...

2.0 out of 5 stars Seems to be designed for kids
This product looked so cool in the picture that I just had to get it. I am a little disappointed though.

Cons:
1) It's too short
The description says that the height varies from 48-56 inches. This measurement is obviously not from the floor to the top of the "head" or speed bag. I guess maybe that is true if you have the arms pointed straight up...

2.0 out of 5 stars Seems to be designed for kids, February 26, 2009

This product looked so cool in the picture that I just had to get it. I am a little disappointed though.

Cons:
1) It's too short
The description says that the height varies from 48-56 inches. This measurement is obviously not from the floor to the top of the "head" or speed bag. I guess maybe that is true if you have the arms pointed straight up. When I use it, I feel a little like Kramer in that episode of Seinfeld where he is fighting those little kids in karate class.

2) The pole spins when you hit the arms
As another reviewer pointed out, when you hit one of the hand targets, the whole thing spins (sometimes upto 180 degrees). I am guy, but not an expert at martial arts. So I hit and kick harder than a child, but I am not crushing it. The problem is that you have to reset the arms after every strike. It breaks up the continuity of the workout.

3) The spring on the punching bag seems too long.
When you give the bag a good bop, it doesn't bounce back very quickly. So, don't expect to do much speed work with it.

4) It's a little more cheaply made than I expected
The punching bag is thick rubber/vynil, so I am not afraid of popping it, but it is not the same material that you see in other speed bags. The hand targets are not even close to the quality of the paddle targets that we use in our taekwondo class. That may be why they designed it to spin. Still, I am not terribly afraid of breaking it in the next few weeks or anything.

Final Word
I got this to use at home because I don't really have anyone to hold paddle targets for me. If I can figure out a way to make it stop spinning when I kick it, then I will be much happier.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really great for novices, January 31, 2011

This kickboxing station has been great for me as a novice kickboxer. The arms are adjustable upwards and downwards which is great for punches and different kicking heights. I'm 5'5" so the speed bag is at a perfect height for me at the highest setting. If you're tall you might have to set it on top of something to elevate it. The only other complaint I have is that filling the base with water does not give it enough base weight when you build strength and endurance, so it has a tendency to wobble and teeter. I'm thinking sand might give a heavier weight to the base. Otherwise, its a great tool to have in a small space for a good and accurate punching/kicking workout.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not really what I expected, November 30, 2008
This review is from: Health Mark BT22000 MMA Dual Pad Kick Boxing Station with Speed Bag (Sports)
I expected this to be a little more stable; when you kick/punch the arms, the entire pole swings around. No need for cushioning on the pads; they don't stay still anyway.

It's still a decent piece of equipment, and doesn't take up much room. I'll figure out how to deal with the swinging arms, but I'm not crazy about them.

Alright, so after reading the reviews I thought to myself I wouldn't bother getting one but compared to getting a $500 Body Action System I figured I would try this out to see how much abuse it would take. After I got everything set-up and tested it out I noticed that people who previously reviewed were right in that if you punch one pad and the stand would actually rotate. Upon finishing a long period of laughter I figured that this is in a way kind of useful since it would help you rotate your body left and right while doing target practice. Something which really annoys me however is upon impact with my fist the speedbag would take forever to come back to me and punch it again. On top of that it feels like it would fall over if I gave it too much force. Perhaps I should take up other peoples suggestion and use sandbags on top of the water filled base I'm using. Overall I would say this is an below par stand to buy if you're really trying to be cheap and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on punching bags and stands or what not.

Dual Pad Kick Boxing Station with Speed Bag was purchased for my partner to aid with his Tae Kwon Do classes. He was very pleased although a bit short so he rigged it to go higher.

5.0 out of 5 stars My new training buddy, November 15, 2011
This review is from: Health Mark BT22000 MMA Dual Pad Kick Boxing Station with Speed Bag (Sports)
I love to box but a lot of times I can't make it to the gym in time for some much needed pad training. Enter this little beauty! I can bob and weave faster than ever before now and my accuracy has become missle like to the point that no one wants to spar me anymore, I've gotten that good. I sure ain't telling them my secret though!

1.0 out of 5 stars Call me Disappointed, May 31, 2011

I was very excited when I saw the picture of this item. When I pulled up a video of someone demonstrating it, that should have been the tip off of how flimsy this item is.
I am a personal trainer and wanted to use it for a variety of clients. I train from novice to hard core and even after I got it and saw how flimsy it was, I thought, perhaps I can use it with novices. But the base is so small and has no weight,so when you hit the bag it always moves and the targets are soooo flimsy, I can't see it working for any one but children. I used it with a few people and even my novice was bored and unimpressed. My space in my workout room is at a premium and for the same money I bought a free standing everflex bag and am totally satisfied.
The only good thing about this purchase was Amazon's return policy which was quick and no charge. Don't waste your time with this poorly made product. Good in theory, but someone needs to reinvent it with better construction and I'd reconsider it.

The Unit is more stable with the addition of sand to the base. The only fault I find is the height adjustment remains too low. However it forces you to develop speed and accuracy. It is great for your hand feet combinations. I am very pleased withthe purchase.
