When I first ordered this item, I only half-heartedly believed it would do all the things that were being claimed it would do; however, I decided that for the price, if it only did half of what it claimed, I'd be happy with my purchase.

I have now had the Osci Stadium for a full month and I can't believe how much it has helped me with my regular exercise program. I use many types of equipment for my daily workouts, and whole body vibration will be permanently incorporated into my routines as the most fun. It has helped my posture, balance, and flexibility; but most of all, it has increased my enthusiasm and feeling of well being.

I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I purchased this item because of other positive reviews after having tried a much more expensive product which has variable frequency vibration at a large fixed amplitude. When I received this product (the one being reviewed) and assembled it per the instructions, I found that its vibrations were only strong enough to affect my feet and lower ankles. I likened it to standing on an electric razor (an exaggeration). The amplitued of the vibrations was simply not large enough to product the desired effect. The tip off to this was the weight of the unit (much, much lighter than I expected), and the power supply, which was about the size of a power supply for a laptop computer - definitely not enough juice to power the vibrataions which the other reviewers claimed this unit could produce. After I and my wife tried it for about an hour or so, I boxed it up and shipped it back. Amazon made this return very easy. The next day I ordered the VPX 2000 machine for a price of $899 and am extremely pleased with this unit.

I used to belong to a gym that had a vibration machine that would give me a really good workout, with vibrations felt all the way up to my shoulders. I purchased this after much research, and liked that it would work with weights up to 300lbs. I stand 6 feet, 8 inches tall with an equal sized frame. However, when I received it, the top speed gave my legs to my thighs a buzz, but not beyond that. I suspect that it may be more appropriate for a shorter person.

I did like the larger platform size, but ultimately I chose to return it after three weeks of trying to find a reason to keep it. I have not given up on this, and will likely try the Medvibe NitroFit system next Medvibe NitroFit Personal Whole Body Vibration Platform - A16814. It's twice the cost of the Health Mark VF81003 which is a negative but I don't believe what I'm looking for exists in the $400 range.

PLUS
Large platform gives you room for balancing
Detailed instructions
Attractive looking
Supports 300 lbs

CONS
Probably works better for people under 6' tall
Barely vibrates past my thighs
Workout didn't do much for me

This may be an excellent product for increasing bone density and increasing muscle, as well as helping heal sore bruises and sprains. I will get a bone desity scan in a year to know for sure about its ability to increase bone density! The shape and size make it more useful for a variety of exercises, including lying on the spine. The shape is why I bought it over any of the others.Health Mark VF81003 Osci Stadium Whole Body Vibration Therapy Platform

My wife has osteoporosis and I have back aches. We took a chance on this and have come to like it a lot. We use it almost every day. We won't know if it is effective for osteoporosis for about another year, when the doctors do another bone scan - but reports from reputable Medical Centers confirm that whole-body vibration and weight-vests do help to correct the condition a lot - without the harmful effects of some current osteoporosis medicines. It does relax my back a lot. This is evident immediately after use. I doubt that it has much of an effect on weight loss, however. The quality of the machine and the versatility of the speeds and programs is good. However, it is best to use it on a solid ground floor, as it really creates a lot of vibration that would be annoying on a wood or up-stairs floor. It would probably drive other apartment dwellers crazy. I would recommend the handle bar (accessory) only for people with balance problems or potential for falling - as it inhibits some ad hoc positions on the machine.

I must say I couldn't be more pleased than I am with my vibration stadium. I use it twice a day for 10 to 15 minutes each time. I have severe pain from a number of sources including a twisted spine, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and I have chronic fatigue too. This is so easy to use even if I'm tired, I just get on it and feel better, there is no effort required.

I use my platform to stretch daily on it and am gaining flexibility. I'm in too much pain to stretch properly without it. I like to use it after a bath and that increases my flexibility even more while decreasing pain. So I use it the first time to stretch on and the second time I increase the vibration level and use it for some resistance strength training.

Because of the size, I'm able to lie down and place my entire back on it and that is one of my favorite positions. I highly recommend this to anyone for pain relief and for generally feeling better.

i HAVE FIBRO AND THIS MACHINE HELPS ME WITH SORE ACHEY MUSCLES AND REGAINING MY ENERGY. IT TAKES ME AT LEAST 20 MINUTES TO START FEELING BETTER AND WHEN I REALLY AM SUPER FATIQUED OR SORE I DO IT FOR 45 MINUTES. I AM ALSO A MASSAGE THERAPIST AND USE THIS WITH CLIENTS WITH CHRONIC MUSCEL TENSION EITHER BEFFORE OR AFTER THE TREATMENT WITH GREAT RESULTS. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE BECAUSE IT IS SO SIMPLE, BUT IT IS TRUE! I LOVE IT! I HAD THE SMALLER ONE FIRST AND UPGRADED TO THIS BIGGER ONE AND AM SO GLAD I DID.

This product is excellent but I would not recommend installing it in a second floor apartment with wooden floors or on the second floor of your home. Because it vibrates so much, it generates noise and vibration that travels through the wood framework of the house. We put the unit in our finished basement and while it is noisy due to the excellent vibration, it is highly effective and does not cause vibrations in the house. We have found the unit relieves knee pain and other joint pain quite effectively and, with the above cautions, would strongly recommend the product to those that are trying to work vibration into their workout routine.

One would assume that a vibration platform with osci as part of it's name is an oscillating platform.
Guess what, this moves up and down as well as vibrates. This is not the kind of action that gives the desired effect on the body and the mind. You can look online and read about how the teeter totter motion has a positive neurological effect as well as a positive effect on the body. I will say that the person I spoke to at Health Mark was very helpful. I'm thinking of buying their osci health unit. It's twice the price but it gives the desired effect.

My Chiropractor recommended this vibration therapy machine after he had bought one for his mother to help with osteoporsis. I don't have that problem but do have a bad back and a life style that requires lots of physical activity. Using the vibration machine just 5 minutes a day has been a great help in keeping my back in better shape. It also is a great muscle relaxer, especially when my feet and legs are really tired or hurting. When I'm feeling sluggish it helps my circulation get revved up and makes me feel better.
I would have preferred a better instruction book to explain more about the machine itself. And it would have been nice if they had included the upright bar instead of it being something I had to buy extra. It would be helpful to have a website to go to and see video of people using the vibration machine for developing lean muscle mass. The instruction book shows positions but not much commentary.
