Yes this scale does look great, however looks aren't everything. I found three problems with it. Firstly the glass top of the scale protrudes about one inch outside of the four feet the scale rests on. This means that if you step on it near the edge the scale will tilt and you are in danger of falling off and/or breaking the scale. This may sound unlikely but every person I watched use the scale for the first time had that problem. Secondly the scale did not give a consistent weight reading - within five minutes it said I weighed from 171.5lbs to 175lbs. I couldn't figure out what was causing it (yes I was using a hard surface and it really was within five minutes). Finally the scale (on average) said I weighed a good 5 to 7 lbs less than the double arm balance scale I use at the gym. Combined with the variations in measurement I decided I just couldn't trust the scale so I returned it and I'm going to look for a better one.

I have owned one of these scales for amost 2 years. The only reason I am looking this one up on Amazon.com right now is because I want my friends to by one. This scale is accurate to a T. It weighs me exactly the same as the scale in my doctors office. I also belong to e-diets.com and I have told all of my friends there about this scale! I have NEVER tipped over on it. Neither has anyone in my family. I highly recommend it. If I ever needed another scale for any reason I would buy this one again!

We bought this scale because we were tired of our previous one showing a weight variation of 5-7 pounds on consecutive weighings within 5 minutes of each other, and we are very pleased with this scale. It looks good and the display is easy to read, even with my glasses off. Best of all, the maximum variation we have seen with consecutive weighings is 1/2 a pound, no matter where I stood (I tried to make it vary). We have had no problem with it tipping over or people sliding off. We would happily recommend it to anyone.

i bought this scale three plus years ago and still love it! i find it very consistent (even for those of us at the upper end) and stylish. i've personally weighed two cats, two dogs, and my three babies on it with no problems - along with numerous visitors who only occassionally have questions with zero-ing it (i removed the sticker that says to tap it first). of course being careless with wet feet might cause it to be unsteady, but i've had none of the problems the first user mentioned. heck, i STILL love it and it's been YEARS! i've never before purchased a scale and had it last this long - much less look the same as the day i purchased it. it makes the floor space look larger since so much of it is translucent. i just love it! enjoy...

Great scale, accurate, elegant, practical. Have dr.office grade scale with weights, measurements are totally in sync. I saw one review in here that complains about the scale tipping over if you put your foot at the very edge. I don't know how you do that because even if I put my feet at the very edges, the center of my feet is right above the supporting legs (even more towards the center of the scale). The round black dots you see is where the supporting legs are. So unless you think it's comfortable to step on a scale with you feet sticking out, you're good to go with this one.
