I've had nearly the opposite experience as the previous reviewer. I have found this scale to be WILDLY inaccurate. If calibrated (by tapping the corner and waiting for it to zero out) I can step on and off of the scale 5 times and get 5 different readings that vary from 2-5(!) pounds (it is set on a hardwood floor), which has made the whole issue of weight loss a guessing game. I am left assuming I lost 10lbs because the averages have fallen by roughly 10lbs. However my doc tells me that during the same time he shows me as having lost only 3lbs and ~7lbs heavier than averaged. I will agree though, this hardly feels like it could take it's stated weight. I started at ~310 and was worried it would crack. Add to that a cryptic multi-user feature and I just would say no if this hadn't been given to me.

I didn't purchase this scale through Amazon but I do own one. It is a reasonably priced digital scale that tracks your weight for up to 2 people. That feature is very nice to have. The scale appears to be accurate and is very easy to use. My only con for this scale is that it doesn't feel very sturdy. After standing on it for the first time I was almost afraid I would break it. The scale says it gives accuarte reads for up to 330 lbs and I am 234lbs it hasn't broken yet.

I hate this product so much. I have to weigh myself over and over again to get it right. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed looking that I lost 10lbs overnight but I know it isn't true so I'd weigh again and again only to find out the real weight. This product sucks.

I absolutely abhor this scale. Like one of the previous reviewers stated, you can step on this piece of crap 5 times and get completely different readings. It has made my weight loss/fitness project very frustrating. One instant its telling me that I weigh 196, and 5 seconds later 192, and then 194. I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought this scale at Walmart. It was neither the cheapest available, nor the most expensive, but right in the middle. I figured that was a safe purchase.

Right from the start, the scale felt cheap. I tip a scale at somewhat over 200lbs, but when I stepped on it, I could feel it give under my weight. After two months of ownership, this morning when I weighed, it cracked loudly as I was stepping off--which prompts this review. I can see no signs on the outside that anything is broken, but something unseen on the inside definitely is.

There were no instructions with the scale. On the outside of the box, it touts all sorts of features--ability to track weight of two people, ability to tell if your weight is going up or down from one weigh-in to the next,--but I'll be darned if I can figure out the secret of how to make those work--and I have lots of company all over the Internet, as no instructions are available online, either. Some people have said that upon turning the scale on, options should then appear, calling for taps with the foot to choose. No options appear for me; it flashes moving dashes for a couple of seconds, then registers zero, ready for weighing. Tapping during the flashing dashes only yields a big "E" followed by turn-off. For the price I paid, is an instruction manual too much to ask? Apparently so. In this day and age, what kind of manufacturer does not offer help and instructions on their website? Healthometer is the answer to that one.

Regarding tapping, there is a sticker that says, "Tap here to turn on" but what they really mean is whap or pound. I rise earlier than the rest of the family and weigh-in as a part of my morning shower routine. The family tells me that nothing I do has ever disturbed their sleep,--until I bought this scale and began pounding it (several times is required before it finally turns on) every morning.

Some reviewers have reported an inability to get the same reading twice in a row. I have not had that problem, as long as the second weighing is immediately after the first. But if I wait a few minutes between weighings, I never get the same figure, with the difference usually being over a pound. Since the scale readout shows tenths of a pound, the clear implication is that the scale is accurate to that figure. Can't be. I do not gain or lose over a pound in three minutes of just breathing.

And this morning after the loud crack of something breaking inside--it told me I was over 2 pounds lighter. The scale sits on a bare bathroom floor.

My advice is to find another scale--do not waste money on this one as I have. And it would probably be good to buy from another manufacturer. For safety reasons alone, I cannot imagine a good manufacturer producing products with no instructions. I would give this product no stars at all, if it were possible.

This scale is inaccurate. Every time I stepped on, a different number would be displayed. Do not waste your money on this product.

I bought mine from Wal-mart but wanted to tell my experience about this product. Every time I would get on it I stand there and wait for the reading and it would say E seriously. I would try it several times and always weight E. I would hold something to hold still and still E. Gggrrrrrr!!!!! Threw it out the window. Scared to purchase another digital scale.

I purchased this scale at Wallmart, and it is a piece of junk. It is very flimsy and inaccurate. Don't waste your money!

In year 3 of owning this scale. It is not particularly accurate. Recently, it stopped showing weight in pounds and will only show kilograms. Still under warranty, a call to the service center indicates I have to pay shipping, and they will only ship back UPS, which doesnt work for me since I have a PO box only. I would not buy another one of these.

I bought this scale at Walmart for somewhere around $25.00. It looks pretty and worked for about a week. Then every time you tap the upper corner, wait for it to go to zero, then stand on it, it acts like it wants to work, but then it goes back to zero! I didn't keep my sales receipt so now I'm stuck with it!
