I bought this book to prepare for my Radiology Tech entrance exam. I must make it clear that this book only has practice exam questions. It is NOT a review book in the sense that it will teach/explain to you each section of an Health Occupation Aptitude Entrance exam. This book ONLY has practice exams.

Pros:
1) Had a section on the Nonverbal aspect that's in most HOAEs, which my other review book didn't have.

2) LOTS of Practice exam questions, but unreliable Answer Key and some typos within the book (see Cons below).

Cons:
1) TYPOS. There were typos in the Answer Key, which are found at the end of each practice exam. This made it hard for me to trust the Answer key, which left me wondering whether the book was wrong or right every time I went to the back to get the answers to each practice exam I did.

Example: On the Arithmetic Examination Section TEST 1, question #9 states: "Multiply $5,906.09 by 15% and, then, divide the result by 3 and round off to the nearest cent." The answer to this question that I got was $295.30 ($5, 906.09 x 0.15=885.9135, then 885.9135/3=295.3045, which rounded to the nearest cent is $295.30), which in the book was answer A. BUT in the Answer Key, it said the answer was C) $2,657.74, which is incorrect. However, after the Answer Key in the math section, there was a "Solutions to Problems" page, which did show how question #9 was solved, and it did give the correct answer of $295.30. BUT in other parts of the book, such as in the Verbal/Spelling section, the Answer Key ONLY gives you the letter answer to the question and no explanation on why that particular answer was the correct one. The typos made me wonder what else was wrong in this book.

In summary, if you need lots of practice exams and are willing to overlook the typos, then this book will serve you right. BUT if you are looking for a book that will teach you things you have forgotten or never actually grasped during your academic years, then this is not the book for you. For example, if you have forgotten or never learned how to add, subtract, multiply and/or divide fractions, this book will not show/teach you how to do them.

bought this book for my daughter's friend. my daughter used it to pass the nursing entrance exam with flying colours! would recommend to anyone looking to enter nursing school.

I'm going through the book now and it's great. It is thorough and user-friendly!

I ordered this book to use for an upcoming test. Because of some delivery mishap I will not receive the book in time to study for the test. I was emailed that it would be late and told that I could refuse delivery but the book will come when I am at work which means that I will have to pay for shipping to send it back. This will cost me money as well as hurt my chances of passing the test that I was going to use the book to study for and now it is to late to order a book elsewhere.
