This is an excellent book that provides the reader with a great overview of relevant issues in HealthCare. The format is extremely user-friendly, and the content is superior. This book was required for my Health Policy class, and it will be a keeper. Regardless of your opinions on the status of healthcare in this country, you can find useful information to defend any perspective, as well as information that will be eye-opening, possibly changing your perspective on certain issues. I thought I knew it all until I read this book. It's one of the best I've ever read. By the way, did I say how READABLE it is? As a busy physician, I hardly have time to read anything; but this was well-worth it! This updated version even covers Medicare, Part D.

i use this book to study for comprehensive exams for a PhD. It has a great range of topics and is an easy read.

Very lucid and easy to understand. Makes a complex issue very accessible to somebody who is new to the topic. I highly recommend this book.

Detailed book with the author's opinion on healthcare reform all over it.

More of a textbook than an actual read for leizure

This text makes the controversies regarding the state of health care systems clear. The explanations on Medicaid and Medicare make sense. The history of Canada's national health care, pitfalls, advantages, etc. give one a place to start when designing a new system of our own. Alyce Huntsinger RN NNP

Great text. Gives an overview of the many issues impacting health policy in the US. I found this text easy to read and very relevant and current. Great diagrams and references help to reinforce the authors points throughout the entire textbook.

The book was shipped promptly and in the condition it was promised. I have no issues with the merchant or book. The book itself is actually very informative for those with a limited understanding of the heathcare system and the economics behind it.

I would recommend buying any kind of text book from amazon. It arrives quickly (2 days usually)and has been(for me) the best price out there.
