4.0 out of 5 stars Fresh, Loud, Mad
This is the experimental music I love and crave. Each track presents you with something new and ear-lovingly interesting. Drums are the essential element in this album and the most noticeable from track to track. Their unique style, as quoted from their page on wikipedia, is described as "artfully crafted noise and raw synth, haunting monotone vocals, and drum skills...

2.0 out of 5 stars Oops.
I bought this for one of my friends as a part of his Christmas gift because I knew he was really into this band. Unfortunately I found out he already had this vinyl. The shipping dates were outrageous for expected delivery. I didn't know it was possible to order from the moon. The package came in this morning after I nearly forgot about it and the corners of the vinyl...

This is the experimental music I love and crave. Each track presents you with something new and ear-lovingly interesting. Drums are the essential element in this album and the most noticeable from track to track. Their unique style, as quoted from their page on wikipedia, is described as "artfully crafted noise and raw synth, haunting monotone vocals, and drum skills that are borderline insane". Vocals play a vague roll throughout the album and combined with the spastic, persistent drumming create a feeling of an ritual chant gone hard noise rock. I found portions of the album to be slightly unlistenable upon first listen but after a couple more they grew appreciatively and fit nicely in with the music. Health pushes the boundaries of conventional music and extends pauses to great lengths, at times blurring the line between tracks. The album is woven seamlessly to give it the feeling of one long track and flows perfectly for listening all the way through or song by song depending on the mood.

If you're looking for something fresh, loud, and slightly insane, this album is for you.

I bought this for one of my friends as a part of his Christmas gift because I knew he was really into this band. Unfortunately I found out he already had this vinyl. The shipping dates were outrageous for expected delivery. I didn't know it was possible to order from the moon. The package came in this morning after I nearly forgot about it and the corners of the vinyl casing were bent. Now I'm going to try to sell this to Newbury Comics in hopes of buying another vinyl I'm praying he doesn't have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!! Must-have album!, July 31, 2011

I Loove this cd so much. It has 13 regular tracks + 4 MP3 tracks. It's a great deal for the price, if you're a fan of techno music in general. I still listen to HEALTH's Get Color a lot, but this album is terrific on its own. It includes Crimewave remix by Crystal Castles, which was definitely a highlight.. and many others like this. Hence my 5-star review.

Each song is a jumbled up mix of experimental psychdelic noise rock.
personally crimewave is my favorite song.and there something really romantic about the song "Perfect Skin".If you enjoy bands like animal collective, psychic Ills then you'll love Health.

2.0 out of 5 stars Big Deal, December 29, 2008
This review is from: Health: Disco (Audio CD)
Not sure what the big deal is. Take Suicide and mix in a little Wolf Eyes and Presto! noise rock in a can. This is really nothing special, I promise. A bunch of fashionable kids got some effects pedals and flip around on stage. All affectation, little substance. Not impressed.
