I hemmed and hawed for many months before purchasing this item. I thought it was a bit spendy, but mainly I didn't know if it would work with my bed. I have a Select Comfort bed, top of the line, which is a tall mattress with a pillow top. I also have an adjustable frame that can raise the feet and the head. I was afraid that the weight of the mattress (which is air, really) would be insufficient to hold this cradle in place.
My fears were unfounded. The part of the cradle that slips between the mattress and mattress pad is very long (you can't see that here). Even when I raise the foot of the bed, the cradle just goes right along with it. The height of the cradle is adjustable, and there is more height available than even I needed with my tall mattress. I had reached a point where I would have spasms in my feet if I lay on my back and had the weight of the covers on my feet. Even with light comforters. I was so pleased with the relief I got after putting this cradle in place. I do have to keep socks on my feet, and you have to have sheets and blankets that will reach down to the mattress when hung over the cradle, but one would expect that. For the extra sleep I've been getting, this cradle was well worth the price.

The adjustable height, sturdy construction, and easy of assembly were well worth the higher cost for this product vs. some of the competitors. This easily supports our king-size comforter with duvet. It looks a little silly, but I now can get a great night's sleep, although the dog has had to relocate!

Expensive but Worth IT post Bunionectomy,
This review is from: Adjustable Bed Cradle (Health and Beauty)
Purchased along with an 8" leg pillow. It has been great. I took a long time given the price but delighted with result. As the other reviews say, it is very sturdy, has a long under-materess support for stability, and can take any weight of duvet/blanket. Provides an ample space for the feet and is fairly easy to work around when changing dressings/applying ice bags/etc.
With the wife's double bunionectomy, the last thing I wanted was a foot tent that might not do the job. This tent has been great.

Adjustable Bed Cradle
Adjustable bed cradle: Light weight yet sturdy enough to support sheet, blanket and quilt without sagging or bending. Adjusts to accommodate for varying thickness of mattress, height away from feet needed. I have used on hospital bed and standard bed as well.

Sore toes!,

Only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it makes it difficult to re-make the bed, and causes the sheets to either become trapped or pull away. If pulled away, you have no cover from your cold toes; If trapped, the sheets may rip. Just a bit of an inconvenience I may have expected had I given it more thought.

It is a nice design but too expensive. I made the same thing from a 1/2 inch ten foot length of PVC pipe and eight elbows from Lowes for less than $10. Cut six 12 inch sections from the ten pipe. Then cut the remaining 4 ft section in half. Assemble in the same shape as this item with the two foot pieces being the vertical sections. I cut off 4 inches from the two ft pieces to fit my bed. No need to glue them together. Works perfectly.
