checked scale with doctor's scales and so far accuracy is excellent. Dial is large and easy to read. However, like most scales of this type, you can change weights either up or down by approx. 4-5 lbs by shifting yur weight. Need to make sure your weight is evenly distributed over the center of the scale

Everytime I use this scale, I have to reset it back to zero, which is annoying. Other than that, the weight it gives me is consistent, which is good.

We've purchased several digital scales (and less expensive dial scales) over the years and they don't seem to last long. The accuracy was always questionable. So we were looking for a simple, "old school" scale. So far this scale has been great. It's solid, heavy duty and priced right. Just what we were looking for...a scale to tell us our weight the old fashion way.
