We wanted a very accurate and consistant scale for home use. Our first attempt was the Tanita HD 372 (reviewed and given one star) that was returned to Amazon.

We bought 349KLX as a much less expensive alternative to the Tanita BWB model which also has an easy to read, wall-mountable display.

The 349KLX runs on one standard 9v battery and has a lit display. We recommend velcro tape rather than the included metal mount to put the display at eye level. The 349KLX is accurate and consistant and weighs to within 2/10ths of a pound. If, for any reason, the display doesn't show "0" when turned on, it has a tare to reset the balance zero. There is also an automatic shutoff to save the battery.

Unlike some scales that lock your weight after a few seconds, this unit continues to adjust until it reaches an equilibrium.

We cannot evaluate this scale for heavy (doctor's office) usage but it is excellent for home use.

This is a great scale! I tried 3 other scales before this one and none of them were as accurate or easy to use as this one. I highly recommend it if you want an accurate weight every time you get on the scale. It gives the same weight even if you get on and off the scale several times in a row; something else the others could not do.

This scale is being used by a weight loss chapter of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). Some members wish to keep their weight private so this remote readout takes care of that problem. Our weigh-in goes much faster than when we used a balance scale. Our scale is not locked up between weekly use so in an abundance of caution, it is a simple matter to disconnect the readout portion for our Weight Recorder to take it home. Would have preferred that an AC adapter was either included or purchasable with the scale but have purchased one locally.

Like it or not, this scale is VERY accurate and well worth the money. I got tired of spending $30 on junk scales that didn't read accurately or were hard to read at all. It's very easy to read and I am grateful for that. I'm trying to lose weight and this scale lets me know if I've lost even a small amount of weight (2/10 of a pound). I'd recommend this scale to anyone........it was a very smooth business transaction as well.

After fighting a losing battle in the weight loss arena, I decided that part of my problem was inconsistency with the old scales that I had. It was an old doctor's office type that just wasn't accurate any more. It varied by 5-6 pounds based on how I stood or EXACTLY where the counterweights were placed. With my limited vision, I needed something easy to read so looked to the electronic scales with a portable read-out as a possible solution.

The HealthOMeter Digital Scale is all that it has been advertised to be so far. I can't speak to its durability since I've only had it for about three weeks but otherwise, I'm very satisfied. The read-out is easy to see, the scales is consistent when I weigh myself 3-4 times in a row and it is within .4 of the scales in my doctor's office.

My plan is to not use the scales portably so I attached the read-out unit to the wall at eye level. This makes it real easy for me to read. I'm not sure about the need for a computer interface but if you need it, it is available as well. My only complaint is a very minor one... I'd personally like the platform to be just a bit larger in both dimensions but that's because I'm a bigger person. I suspect that it is just fine for most people.

All in all, I really like the scales and hope that it lasts me for many years. Oh yes, because I'm weighing myself literally every day and carefully monitoring my weight, I'm down over six pounds since the scale arrived. :)

I was quite hesitant to spend nearly $150 on a scale, but I'm convinced I got the right one. I had a doctor's appointment so I weighed myself on the 349KLX right before heading to the doctor's office. Sure enough, both scales were EXACTLY the same. I've tried other scales that weren't within a few pounds with successive weighs-ins, just minutes apart. Reproducible results are very important. Great buy.

Te HealthOMeter 349KLX appears to be a excellent product. It gives repeating weights and works very well. We highly recommend this product.

Accurate, easy to use and read. We have had no issues over the past month with this scale. It is a great product especially when compared to units that cost two to three times as much. The platform is a bit higher than the more expensive units but we use a handrail on the wall for all the patients to use so it has not been an issue.

I only wish I had bought it sooner. Works better than any scale I've ever owned.

I have macular degeneration and am legally blind, so I needed a display I coul place at eye level. This scale is one that I can easily use.
