Product Description

Carbonyl iron is but one form of iron. Iron, one of the most abundant metals on earth, is essential to most life forms. It is an indispensable element in the protein (hemoglobin) that facilitates the transport of oxygen. An iron deficiency lowers the oxygenation of cells and inhibits the immune system. Too much iron, on the other hand, results in toxicity and perhaps even death. Supplements are recommended when diet alone does not restore iron levels to normal. Iron in a ferrous form is commonly available as supplement, but most of it is not absorbed completely and have side effect, mainly constipation. Carbonyl iron which is not a ferrous form is thought to be absorbed more quickly with lesser side effect.

This is a great product from what I've researched.
I didn't find myself feeling tired from taking it... nor energized...
Perhaps a blood test would have shown its benefits.

The carbonyl iron from what I've researched is the type of iron that is more easily absorbed and regulated by the body. The other types you can apparently overdose on.

Also, there is a lot of hype going on right now about methyl B12 vs cyano B12 (which contains cyanide)....
Read this article before you go buying methyl and ditch the cyano version of B12....

I purchased this product for my sister who was mildly anemic. My research showed that carbonyl iron is the best form of iron supplement. This product seems to be the best value on the market. My sister feels better now but she still didn't do a follow up blood work to see if the hemoglobin level is increasing.

A few days after I started taking this product (along with a couple other supplements) I noticed I was feeling more tired than before. I experimented some by taking different combinations of the supplements. After several tries, I noticed that it was the Carbonyl Iron that seemed to make me feel tired. Once, I eliminated it, I seemed to feel better.
