Very lightweight, easy to use.

I can't always get a massage or go to the chiropractor when my back hurts, this product I can use whenever I need to even at work.

I think if you would like a portable, easy to use, long lasting, strong sensating, impulse massager this is probably going to be what you are looking for. Nothing like what chiropractors carry, which was really what I was looking for. It will definitely work for now. Its nice that it lasts for 60mins and has different patterns of sensation. If you put them on your feet you can see your toes move, that is how strong this thing is. I would start on the thickest part of the body and see how you can take the sensation. The pads are sticky and reusable, make sure it stays clean. As for now, I would buy another one of these and I would see if I could give this as gifts to friends or family. I've had this for about a week hopefully its just as good in a few years. I like the fact its rechargeable. It looks like an Ipod, which makes it interesting, which also make it very portable. I've also purchases the XFT Electrical Stimulator, this one is MUCH MUCH better in comparison. The only positive difference is that the Pads on the XFT Eletrical Stimulator is larger, not as sticky but it came with slick card board to store the pads on for reuse.

The product seems to function okay WHEN I CAN GET IT TO WORK. However, I've yet to figure out exactly what everything does or what buttons to press in which order. It seems that sometimes a button works and sometimes it doesn't. The instructions are horribly inadequate and obviously written by someone for which English was a second or third language. Even the box it came in had "Booy Massager" [sic] on the front.

In short, you are left to fumble around and figure it out on your own. If you're not wearing it there is no way to tell if it's working; and even if you are, you might have the power settings too low. There is no indicator on the device to tell you when it's sending impulses to the pads. At this time I am left to try various things at near-random until by sheer chance my wife starts feeling impulses. Once we finally get to that point things seem to work okay until it gets shut off...then we're back to square one.

Maybe someday I will blunder into a reliable sequence of button-presses that make this thing do its business.

FOLLOW-UP A WEEK LATER -- Here's what I have figured out (the manual was NO HELP with any of this):

-- The unit begins sending pulses as soon as you slide the power switch to ON. Be sure to apply the pads to your skin first!
-- These initial pulses are sent at level 1; too weak to detect. Only after pressing the + button a time or two (to increase the power) will you realize that it's already doing its thing.
-- The central play/pause button is used to pause and resume. I expected to have to press it once to start, kinda like a VCR...in fact pressing it once turns the pulses OFF.
-- The indicator in the center of the display flashes when you have the unit PAUSED.

This little TENS Unit is fabulous. I am an RN and have used these electrical stimulators in the office. It is easy to use and puts out a nice current. My husband and I both use it for pain control we have Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis. It is amazing.

This was a replacement for a different brand unit. I like the interface of this one much better, and I love that the rechargeable battery holds so much juice. It's lightweight and fits easily into a pocket if you want to walk around the house while using it.

Two things that don't measure up to my previous unit:

- This unit only has one intensity control that determines the intensity for both plugs, rather than being able to control each side separately

- All of the treatment settings have some sort of abrupt "stop" in them, which I find distracting. I used to be able to "buzz" my shoulder for 20 minutes the way my chiropractor's electrostim did, but this unit's treatment modes don't include that option. The closest thing is a buzz for about 15 seconds, but then it stops before it starts up again. There are other options, like a percussive pulse, or a buzz that builds up in intensity before releasing, but all of them have some sort of short cycle that ends in a 100% stop. It still does the job to release muscle tension, but I find this to be a less relaxing overall experience than my previous unit.

So long as you're okay with the above, this is a great little unit.

Very lightweight, easy to use. The pads are a little cheap feeling because they have a paper type backing which feels funny when you have to press hard to snap on the cord. They are very gummy and stick well. This little thing delivers a punch! It gives you 6 modes and you can set the timer in 10 minute increments. The on/off switch is a little awkward because it is small and is right between where the cords attach to the unit, so it is a tight space. I bought extra pads for long term use. I've used it 3 times for 20 minutes each and haven't had to recharge it yet. This gets the same job done as the one at my doctors office for a whole lot less!
