5.0 out of 5 stars Easy and Delicious May 30, 2012

I've been incorporating more raw foods into my meals and am loving the experience. So when I heard about Nathalie's kindle book I wanted to get it right away. At first I was bummed thinking I wouldn't be able to access it being a kindle book but, turns out, you can download a kindle reader right to your laptop (mac or pc). I've gone over the recipes featured in this book and one thing really caught my attention, they're all ingredients available at your nearest grocery store or health food store, meaning, I don't have to go out of my way to search for ingredients.

I've made the Mini Carob Cake and the Chiapioca Pudding. The brownie was irresistible, really! I managed to make it last a few days but I ate it all by my lonesome :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Love Love Dessert August 29, 2012

I was so happy to find this book! I've been trying to lose weight and looking for ways to satisfy my need for desserts. I now have recipes that will allow me to do both with all raw ingredients. The "Apple Cobbler with Cashew Cream" is my favorite so far. Really yummy!! I have also found some raw bars for a great on-the-go sweet treat hereBella Raw Bars (Chocolate Nut Raw Bar) Eating raw is a wonderful alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great desserts for the lazy raw food enthusiast November 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a recipe book I can follow. Only one recipe requires a dehydrator. For the rest, a food processor or fast-speed blender suffices. I live off my rather inexpensive food processor, so these recipes work for me. They are simple, and I can't handle anything complicated in the kitchen. I like the taste and nutritional benefits of raw food but on my own lack the imagination to come up with attractive raw desserts. Nathalie Lussier has done the work for me. For lazy raw foodists, or raw food enthusiasts, this is a great collection of yummy recipes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good receipes, but repetitive ingredients April 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have really enjoyed some recipes from this book, but I figured with only 30 recipes they would all differ. I was wrong. Some repeat the same ingredients with a slightly different added ingredient.

5.0 out of 5 stars 30 Healthy Desserts You Can Eat Every Day Is The Bomb! November 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have been in the health and fitness industry for several decades and watch my intake of fatty foods and deserts. I picked this book up the other day and can't believe the simplicity of making such great tasting deserts without baking.

I love that these desert are from whole foods, which is what our bodies need to thrive. The macro nutrients in these recipes are actually good for you, so why not have your cake and eat it too. I know I won't hesitate in eating these easy to prepare, delicious recipes. My daughters are also trying to follow a clean diet and will love to know they can have some healthy treats that won't hurt their diet and exercise program they're following.

As for my mom, she was raised on a farm and used to cook with lard, sugar, fats, etc. and it finally caught up with her. She had a heart attack at the age of 79. The doctor put here on a very restrictive diet, but these healthy deserts made from whole food will surely help her with her sweet tooth without causing any further risk or complications to her heart.

Thank you Nathalie for healthy alternatives to fattening deserts that aren't good for us.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a healthy alternative to fattening deserts. This book gives you great recipes that can satisfy your sweet tooth, while knowing your eating a better diet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Healthy sins, for our sweet tooth! November 8, 2012
By Garrus
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm not really into baking desserts, but my sister does! So, when I saw this I downloaded a copy and pushed it to my sis, and I have desserts to snack on without much worries.

Nathalie gives a brief description behind each of the recipes, giving you tips and how the desserts will aid in your healthy intake.

There's also a photo for each recipe, gives you an idea of what you'll get. Those photos will probably set you craving for them, so prepare to start baking once you start downloading this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Healthy Desserts don't have to be boring November 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I know I have to watch what I eat, due to some health problems, but it is really hard to go without desserts. Now, with this great recipe book, there are enough great healthy TREATS in the bag for a month of Sundays. I particularly have my eye on the key lime pie and the mini-carob cake. I also love that Natalie includes some recipes that use Stevia, my favorite no carb sweetener, and that none of the recipes call for unsafe chemical sweeteners like Splenda or Asparatame.
