The recipes are very interesting, and I'm sure they're delicious. However, they're not pizza - they are fruit and nuts and vegetables made to look like pizza.

The author provides a list of resources just after the introduction.

Be forewarned - neither the ingredients nor the techniques are inexpensive. A 375mL bottle of ice-pressed olive oil will set you back $30 plus shipping. The truly raw cashews are $16/lb. Irish moss, which is soaked in water to make a mucilaginous thickener, is about $20/lb. The author recommends using Probiotics to make vegan 'cheese.' I went to the website of the source she cited and am unsure which Probiotic formula to use since it was not specified in the book. I decided that it was most likely one of the yogurt starters - either of which will run you $50 for a 25gm bottle. A pound of certified organic lucuma powder is $17/lb. Lucuma is a fruit native to the Andes, and is the most popular flavor of ice cream in Peru. Who knew? Bear in mind that unless you have local access to these things, you will also be paying shipping.

Then there is the equipment. Blender, preferably Vitamix, since you need to be able to grind your own 'flour' and pulverize nuts. That'll run you between $450 and $650, depending on the model you choose. A decent 11-cup food processor is $150 to $350. A good dehydrator will be about $150. (Since the recipes are 'raw vegan' you don't bake the 'pizzas'. Instead, they are dried in the dehydrator.)

There are eight recipes in the book. It is formatted nicely. Sadly, there are no pictures except for the cover, which shows the Psychedelic Dessert Pizza. I'm sure the rest of the recipes make very pretty 'pizzas,' too.

There are some grammatical errors. For example, the Resources section is titled, "Where To Get The Ingredients From."

I admit, initially I thought healthy raw vegan pizza would be a little intimidating. Like how does it not need to be heated? what about the pepperoni? But the author knows her stuff. The book is layed out great, beginning with step by step instructions for preparing the basic dough to assembling the pizza. The recipes are organized and easy to follow. You will be amazed at the wide array of healthy ingredients that you can use to make an amazong pizza. This is definately not your local pizza parlor eats.

Bottom line you cannot go through the summer without this book. Your family and friends will be amazed and delighted.

These recipes are great for someone who is obsessing about their calories and their diet and they are ten times more delicious than your average pizza.
I absolutely loved the first recipe which is the caramalized onion pizza...will check out the other books by the author since I'm still new to healthy eating.

This has some great recipes, and easy making, and steps to follow.

I was able to download on my free computer kindle program on amazon, and also was able to download a converter to make it a pdf program so that I was able to print to use in my kitchen.

Amazon customer report was a great help in knowing how to work these programs. I am currently in a Health and Nutrition Coaching program online and my class mates would love this raw vegan recipe book.

Yes I will recommend this to my class and others interested in this type of eating, gluten free and raw.

More About the Author

After years of overindulging in junk food, loads of sugars and sweets, and other "bad" food, Heather noticed that she's getting very depressed, constantly distracted and her brain is always out of whack. Unaware of the connection between food and emotional and spiritual being, Heather remained confused as to why she couldn't improve her situation.

However one day, Heather decided to turn her life around. She didn't know how she'll do it, but she was willing to do whatever it takes, and she knew that it will take time and be a long journey to take.

On her quest to personal healing and evolution, she stumbled upon a few books on brain health, where she learned that eating more vegetables and cutting down garbage food is the single best thing she can do for her brain health. On that same day, she quit all the bad food she was eating and started having more and more vegetables and fruits. After more and more research about health, nutrition, mood and cancer, Heather came to the conclusion that a raw food diet is the best diet she can follow, and so she did, and her life literally transformed before her eyes.

Heather started sharing her wisdom with close friends and family, but noticed that they were all reluctant to give it a shot. That's when Heather started to experiment with ways to make raw food dishes more attractive and enticing to others.

To this day, Heather continues to improve and refine her diet and lifestyle, on a never-ending journey to peak physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being.

This biography may sound like utter nonsense to you and just a way to sell books, but the best way to learn and test something is experience: try it out for a while and witness the results yourself.
