This book is meant to provide a one-stop resource for a lifetime of healthy eating. With the information contained herein, you will be able to cook healthy meals every day, and, by experimenting around with variations, never grow bored with your food.

The way the book is organized should help you with this goal. First, it lists healthy foods in different categories for you to stock. Next, the recipes are organized by cooking technique. Some cooking techniques are inherently healthier than others; you won’t find a deep-fried section in here. Grouping the recipes by technique makes it easier for you to master a specific cooking method. (Because sometimes it’s easier to learn a few stir-fry recipes in a row rather than go from stir-frying to steaming to poaching.) And finally, the recipes are all basic recipes, highly suited to variations. By swapping out different ingredients and spices from one time you prepare the dish to the next, you keep more variety in your diet, making it more exciting and easier to stick with.

My hope is that you’ll use this book to nourish your body with healthy meals and enjoy yourself in the process. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be bland or monotonous. In fact, as I hope you’ll see, quite the opposite is true: healthy foods can, and should be, more delicious and versatile than its processed, junk-foodie counterparts.

Really enjoyed this book. The recipes and instructions are easy to follow, simple directions and I loved the variations. I am trying to cook healthier for my family, unlike some of the other healthy cook books I've purchased I will use this one as I don't need to be a trained chef or purchase expensive ingredients to use the recipes

Health is complicated, at least when it comes to food preparation and learning what is healthy food and how to use it properly. Well known fact for all of us - if you want to improve your body and its health go to gym and exercise - but how to properly fuel/feed it? Well, here is a writing you might find useful.

The composition of the book is quite simple. In the first part you will find types of foods with ingredients for healthy nutrition, what are they and what is their influence on your health. After that, you will find explained various techniques for healthy preparing the food that preserves important ingredients (vitamins, oils, minerals, etc. )

Finally - experiment, experiment, experiment and you might find much of enjoyment in this particular activity necessary for healthy living.

This is not a boring reading - you will most certainly learn some new things about food preparation, for instance infamous high cholesterol shrimps are in fact low in calories and very good for proteins, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants; microwave veggies without water and keep all the goodies inside; bananas are excellent for thickening, etc...I particularly like some excellent and ¨easy to remember¨ advice - for instance, only eat oysters during the months with an ¨R¨ in the name.
The few things I miss in the book - The timing of ingredients availability is US-centric and no advice regarding the price of the food (or is it a title for another book - Affordable and Healthy Eating?).

So, health is not complicated after all. It is only a book away from you. This book. Buy it. Read it.

Looooooove it. Every single recipe sounds wonderful. My favorite recipe so far has been the Turkey Meatloaf. When I first went to cook it, I figured it would taste nothing like real meatloaf, but I was very mistaken. I enjoyed the taste and unlike other forms of turkey, it was still moist.

These recipes are great and very simple, and this is a big plus for me. Simplicity plus great taste. I love that the food is delicious and yet it is still healthy and good for you. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and family, because it is a great way to practice eating healthy.

The author did a remarkable job on writing this cookbook and was also able to create an easy to follow ingredients guide for everyday usage. Each ingredient is described detailed, how to use it, its health benefit,....

Needless to say, this is even a great book for anyone who is looking to shed a few extra pounds that they gained over the holidays, or if you are only interested to learn more about how to eat healthy and what kind of ingredients to use. I am confident that you will like it as I did.

p.s. Another really good recipe to try is Spinach Soufflé.

While the population is growing, obesity and the struggle to maintain a healthy lifestyle is increasing as well. I've heard different statements about living healthy. Some think that it's okay to eat whatever you want as long as you burn it. Some think that it's better to eat healthy than work out. Personally, I think it depends on what works best for you, your schedule and your body.

It's always easier to buy food outside that's prepared rather than cooking. The availability of ready to eat food and fast food establishments make it harder to live a healthy lifestyle.

Reading this book, it's easier to convince my family to start eating healthy. The ingredients are easy to find and the recipes aren't that hard to make.

If you want to start living a healthy life, eat healthy. To do that, start by reading this book.

Who's not up for healthy cuisines? I bet it's a trend nowadays. With lots of facts popping out from research studies done by experts, almost everyone is now quite aware we are living in an unhealthy society and we need to have a CHUM for this lifestyle re-coursing. Guaranteed! This book does have what it takes: I'll tell you why.

1. The first emphasis done by the author of this book- RIGHT ATTITUDE. This is the driving gear for the two pillars to proceed (NUTRITION and EXERCISE) giving you steer to defy the urges and overcome enticing temptations of just chilling around with lots of junkies, processed foods, fast food menus and the like.

2. COMPREHENSIVE and SCIENTIFIC- different techniques of cooking and food preparation were clearly defined: its benefits when it comes to retaining innate nutrients of vegetables, fruits, meat, etc. Anyone can effortlessly follow the menus because it's detailed and specific yet brief and complete. Layman terms were also used to better connect with the readers. Lastly, the book itself is properly structured with headings and subheadings in place, no confusion and information overload.

3. SUGGESTED WIDE VARIATIONS that one can play and experiment with giving freedom of choice to readers according to what their taste and preference are. Variety of alternative extracts and aromatics were also available to choose from and cuisines are not constrained at one region only, the taste of the menus was general.

In short, your money is overvalued for this piece of resource that contains hundreds of what we need. So don't miss getting a copy!
