This is a holistic approach to Healthy living, which resonates with the reader to quote from the book; "Self-care is about eating nourishing foods, taking care of your spiritual and emotional well-being, spending quality time with friends and family, or taking yourself away on retreat." I enjoyed the simple reminders written in green, "Think FIT, You are what you eat, If you want more energy, etc." they are straightforward tips, key points to a healthy lifestyle. Elisabeth has created some excellent "Quiz questions'" to help identify areas that may need to be improved; if you answer them honestly, you will quickly see trends that you can use for self-improvement and personal-development. Small Changes can give you huge benefits for healthier living. Thanks for this self-help book I really enjoyed it, Peter ~Author and Illustrator Top Tips for Healthy Living: The Key to Physical, Mental and Spiritual Wellness for a Healthy Lifestyle

As the author of Detox Maintenance Recipe Collection - 130 recipes from around the world I know that it is really important to take care of yourself, for your own benefit and for your loved ones. Part One of this book combines many common sense ideas which we all know, combined with some easy to follow information on diet and exercise. It is good to have them put together in this easy to read way. eg I love at the beginning, the schedule for your day. Always start with a healthy breakfast (meaning never skip breakfast), and eat a rainbow salad at lunch time. What a pretty idea, to eat as many colors as you can. Very motivating. I took the quiz to see if I am younger than I think - and yes, I am! Hooray! Then we get to the drinking section. Since I did a major detox last year, and lost a lot of of weight, one of the recommendations was to always start the day with hot water and lemon. I see that this is suggested in this book too. I find it such a great drink to have first thing in the morning. It makes me feel really envigorated, and ready for whatever the day brings. And all this is in Part One. The other 3 sections have lots of good ideas, fun quizes, shopping lists, many ideas and information to keep you motivated and on course to a healthier and happier life. I thoroughly recommend you buy this book.

I like a lot of the Infinite Ideas books especially when they give them away for free. Elisabeth Wilson makes the point that there is nothing that is more important than looking after yourself. She emphasizes eating right and getting enough exercise. I liked her creative ideas for getting you to drink more water. Instead of just drinking straight water this author encourages you to drink rooibos tea or sparkling mineral water with juice. You will also find helpful information in this book about how to boost your metabolism, how to destress at work and how to get enough omega-3 oils even if you are a vegetarian. The chapter on actually being a vegetarian was however very short. This book left me thinking about what can increase leptin production and how I can eat more ORAC foods. I'm sure you will get a couple of ideas that will change your life for the better.

`Healthy Living' didn't jump out at me at first, with its simple title. I had actually just read Health Tips:Rare tips To Surprise and Benefit You (Healthy Living Series) by Stephen Williams, and was looking for something to complement that book, which was good but much shorter than this one. I downloaded `Healthy Living' thinking that I would flip through it once and forget about it, but surprisingly that's not been the case. Like the other book, by Williams, this one has a nice selection of easy to remember tips and simple, straightforward advice that anyone can follow to make living healthier a little easier.
I, for one, can never seem to get through half of the so called healthy living books because they always seem to repeat the same information in the same, monotonous ways. This book was fresh and engaging, while the tips had a holistic and natural slant to them. I love turning to natural solutions for health problems, and this book offered the best ones that I have seen in a while.
I loved the gentle reminders printed throughout the book, almost like a mantra. I also liked the section on detoxing...I haven't tried it yet but am going to have a go after the holidays are over. I guess I am getting a jumpstart on those New Year's resolutions by reading all these health books! It looks like a pretty straightforward detox plan, and I hope that I can see some great results in my energy and maybe even lose a little weight.
Elisabeth Wilson seems to be a very knowledgeable author and certainly has an easy to follow style of writing. Her tips and advice is practical, but there are some things that I had never heard of before.

"Healthy Living" by Elisabeth Wilson is a nonfiction book with tips and insight into multiple aspects of healthy living. I have read dozens of health books, but most of her tips were new to me or I at least gained further knowledge from them. I found that most of them were very insightful, helpful, and had a new angle on how to be healthy.

Part one covers tips about: how to become healthier instantly, why exercise even though you don't want to, how to boost immunity, how to increase energy, and others. Part two speaks about low energy, sleep, metabolism, stress, and several other topics. Part three goes over fertility, vegetarianism, supplements, exercise, forgiveness, and others. Part four talks about dental health, bone health, healthy eating, dealing with the holidays, attitude, youth, and other topics. So as you can tell there are a lot of good tips to learn from this book. There are also a few quizzes scattered throughout the book to self-assess your current behavior, as well as several celebrity health plans.

There were a couple of things that could have been improved upon in this book, which are: more detail and better organization of the chapters. As far as more detail, if you are looking for a quick read or if you don't have a lot of time to read about health, this is the perfect book for you, because it covers many different topics in one concise book and there is enough information to be able to apply the tips to your life and improve your health. Plus, most of the tips are completely realistic and easy to implement.

I give this book four out of five stars and I recommend it. I am glad it is now a part of my bookshelf of health books.
