This book has been very helpful for me. It offers a great introduction to what a woman goes through every month and the yoga poses are focused on addressing specific needs such as pms, amenorrhea, and endometriosis. Some of the poses do require props such as a chair or a bolster and some of the poses are not recommended during certain times or if you suffer from back or neck problems. Each pose has pictures and explains how to go into the pose and what it is beneficial for. It also tells you when a pose is not recommended. The poses are divided up into specific sequences so there is some overlap. I highly recommend this book for anyone who suffers from painful cycles and is interested in yoga.

Pretty cool book. I'm new to yoga, and some of the poses seem impossible, being that I'm just a beginner, but I'm going to try it nevertheless!

This book is a must have for anyone who gets bad cramps. Some of the poses have helped ease pain much quicker than heat or ibuprofen. There's a good range of difficulty in the book with poses anyone can do to poses I wouldn't try for the first time without the guidance of an instructor. The descriptions of how to do each pose are thorough and easy to follow. I wish there was a yoga class near me that focuses on a healthy cycle, but until I find one at least I have this book!

This book is organized like an encyclopedia of disfunction or according to your cycle. All of the poses are photographed and explained in detail. They are restorative, relaxing and effective. What more could a book offer?
