This book comes at good time for me. We've been making smoothies for a while now and are admittedly in a rut. 201 Healthy Smoothies & Juices for Kids is chock-full of recipes with a huge variety of fruits and some vegetables. And the ones I've tried so far are excellent. I only have a regular blender which works fine for most of the recipes, but some call for a high-powered blender. Also, the juice recipes require a juicer, which I don't have (yet).

In addition to the recipes, there are plenty of tips and fun facts about nutrition throughout the book. Overall, this a must-have book for parents wanting to experiment with kids' smoothies and juices

I am the mother of four active kids. I love this new book I just got! It has great ideas and has really gotten me to look outside the box. I feel good about giving my kids something healthy to fuel them as they run out the door to soccer practice. I will go back to this book again and again! Thanks!

I absolutely love this recipe book! My kids have loved each and every recipe we have tried so far. They are picky eaters when it comes to seeing whole fruits and veggies on their plate. When I make these smoothies there isn't a battle that takes place in getting them to eat healthy. They do it because these drinks are so yummy! I love that they are getting what they think is a treat, but has much less sugar and it a whole lot healthier than your average summer time treat. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to help their kids eat healthier (or even if you yourself want a more fun/creative way to get some fruits and veggies in your system!).

These smoothies are fun for kids, but they're equally good for adults. I'm on a weight management program which encourages me to eat more fruits and vegetable and less sugar. All of these recipes fit that description, and they taste delicious. I was having a hard time consuming enough fruits and vegetables until I started trying these recipes. I also enjoy the educational comments and descriptions included. They're well written and understandable. I'm learning a lot about nutrition in general. I ended up getting a copy for all my daughters for a Mother's Day gift to them and their families.

What a fun week we have had in my house with these diverse, creative, and delicious smoothie recipes! My 3 picky eaters wake up begging for a new breakfast smoothie and have loved every one so far. I can honestly say they didn't even notice when I added a huge bunch of spinach when they weren't looking. As an active, busy, working mom, I LOVE the nutritional facts for each recipe, the easy to see icons that tell me what juices and smoothies contain superfoods, are good for athletes, and which are best fresh, or can be saved for later. The introduction of the book includes a lot of nutritional tips and tricks for easy lifestyle changes to eat healthier and include all of the important food groups. I have loved Amy Roskelley's blog for years ([...]) for her meal plans, children's plates, recipes, and nutritional facts and tips, and am SO excited to continue trying all of the juices and smoothies in her new book. LOVE it!

Not as many receipes as I had hoped for. But very informative, and some new recipes I didn't have, and some with a different take on others I did have. Would buy it again. But, if you've got tons of other smoothie books, I'm sure this one will be somewhat repetivive.

i am a beginner to the world of green smoothies. i know this has to be good for you . this book presents this concept of entering into a nutrious eating lifestyle in a very appealing way. have not finished the book yet and was telling my primary physcian about this change i was making in my approach to becoming healthier. they were very excited to start the change to their diet and have borrowed my book while i am out of the country for couple of weeks. will finish when i get back and then introduce to the whole family.!!!

I've made many of the recipes in this book and they are really good. My only complaint is that some of the juice ones don't make very big quantities. Even though the recipe states it's a "big batch" recipe it only yields maybe two half cup servings. To me big batch means it makes enough for several full glasses. Great book though, especially if you are new to smoothies and juicing.

Love how you can search under certain ingredients in the back and find all of the recipes. If you have blueberries or strawberries on hand, there are recipes listed under that fruit so you don't have to go searching through the book. I have used this recipe book time and time again.

Wow! I thought I was just getting a recipe book but 201 Healthy Smoothies & Juices for Kids is so much more! I was hooked by the intro and suggestions in the book before I even got to the smoothie recipes. This is a handy book to have around.
