Dr. K covers all the "dangerous" scenarios and knows all the excuses for women to be overweight. He gives common sense tips and concrete steps to take to lose weight--without going on a diet! With my 48th birthday coming up and having spent decades yo-yo dieting and exercising to exhaustion, I had finally resigned myself to continue to gain weight, until I finally drop dead of a heart attack. Now I feel motivated to take the concrete steps outlined in the book to change my life; and that's the difference here: this is a life/behavior/habit change--NOT a diet--which will lead to weight loss and better health. Many thanks for this book, this is a real treasure! And not just for those of us ladies over forty, though the book was written especially with us in mind.

Format: Paperback
This book tells me that dieting is not just about starving yourself and will power and eating lettuce and carrots. Losing weight is all about sustaining your lifestyle while losing those pesky pounds. Even though this book is written for women, I would say that men can benefit from the teachings in this book as well.

As a woman over forty who had tried so many methods to lose weight, I was so discouraged. Then I read the first chapter of this book which described the unique challenges for women my age, and I felt I was reading my own diary! Dr. K's comprehensive strategies make sense and I'm already seeing progress in how I view eating and my ability to make better choices.

Dr. K. factors out the main reasons for "diet failure." He then gives sound advice and strategies to replace the faulty thinking with new, positive strategies to lose the weight and keep it off. I highly recommend it.
