From the Inside Flap

When her missing friend, Sara Garland, is suspected of murder, Demary Jones forgets she is a genealogist, not a private detective, and sets out to track down the real killer. And despite the objections of her onetime fianc, Seattle P.D. Lieutenant Sam Morgan, she does just that. Demary is not one to accept chauvinistic restrictions. Helped along the way by her juvenile pal, Joey, and with the support of her caustic and very beautiful secretary, Martha, she investigates two more murders. Along the way she has to try to survive an attempt on her own life.

About the Author

A former Seattle resident, E.L. Larkin now lives on the Long Beach Peninsula with nothing between her front door and Japan but sky and sea. Retired after many years in the business world, she now has the time and space to pursue a lifelong ambition to write.

As the owner/operator of restaurants and cocktail lounges in Washington, California, and New Mexico, Ms. Larkin has seen many different life-styles, all of which have contributed to her writing.
