If you want to introduce your children to African animals, this book is for you. My toddlers love lifting the flaps to reveal hidden animals and pressing color-coded buttons to hear what the animals sound like. We have two similar books (Bird Calls and Night Sounds) but this one is much easier for young children to use since the animals are hidden behind flaps rather than pull-tabs. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in helping young children learn about African animals.

I bought this book along with the others in the series and they are my 15 month old's favorites. We got them when he was only 5 months or so and they are great because they grow with the child. You can start with just the sounds and names of the animals, then move up to reading the flaps as they get older. I highly recommend these books!

Bought this for my 3 year old son who is know 4 1/2 and he still loves it. Very educational as you learn lots about the animals and your child gets to mimic their sound. Lots of fun.

I bought this book at the same time as the Farm Animals book. My one year old is obsessed with all sorts of animals and loves to imitate the animal noises. This one is a little advanced for my one year old. The animals in this book are pretty exotic and my son doesn't quite get it yet. That is the only reason that I gave it 4 stars. I plan to put it away for a little bit and reintroduce it to him in a few months. It is still a cool book with neat animal noises! Another reviewer mentioned that it is really loud, and compared to the Farm Animals book, it is louder. But, it did not scare my son at all. Overall, a very interesting book!

My 4 year old nephew was interested in what sounds different animals make. This book is perfect. He absolutely loves it, especially the fact that it's interactive.

This book with the sounds made it so much fun for our preschooler's at our church. It will used for years to come! I'd highly recommend this book!

We bought this book for our daughter when she was 18 months old. Within a few months she had memorized all the sounds and will tell you the name of the animal that makes each sound. This book helped her learn animals as well as colors. I would highly recommend it!

I like this book because of the close-to-reality drawings and the flaps, but not my 1-year old. The loudness of the animal sound terrifies him. It's been 3 months that he's had the book and he is still not used to the sound. The loud noise even made him cry.

Odd noises and weird animals in this book. My daughter did not enjoy it. Her favorite is the farm animal book like this one.
