I was given this book when I told my discipler that I wanted to hear God and talk with Him the way I was talking to her. This book taught me how to have such an intimate relationship with Him, and about how to lay everything down and completely trust Him for every moment of my life. I recommend this book for ANY woman!!!

After 20 years as a believer in the Lord, He has brought me to a place of yielding my walk with Him...TO Him. This book answers the question, "How can I really have the intimate walk with my Lord that my heart so needs and desires?" This is not a 'how to' book; it is the personal testimony of a woman who completely yielded her whole self, her whole life, to the One who purchased her redemption... and the transformation that followed. I am discovering how in laying down EVERYTHING, and trusting completely in the Lord, is found real freedom, and real peace, and real JOY. CAUTION: Miss Hurnard's later writings showed a sharp departure from the truth. THIS one retains a sound testimony of her conversion from despair to truth, and the love of God for a rebellious sinner.

Hannah's story is an excellent "God story" about her transformation by grace and His faithfulness over many years of struggle and service. The years in Palestine alone are worth the price of the book, but she has a depth much like Oswald Chambers in dealing with the real issues of life.
