About the Author

Brian Andreas is an artist, sculptor and storyteller, who works with new forms of human community. He uses traditional media from fine art, theatre, and storytelling, as well as the latest electronic technologies of virtual reality and the Web. His work is shown and collected internationally.

Born in 1956 in Iowa City, Iowa, he holds a B.A. from Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa, and an M.F.A. in Fiber and Mixed Media from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California.

He lives with his wife, Ellen Rockne, and their two wild and beautiful boys in the Midwest, where they make art and soup and stories as often as they can.

Somehow this guy captures every "real", unusual, or frightening tidbit from your own life and puts it into a calming, yet humorous (or perhaps amusing is a better term)text with illustrations and makes you realize that your life isn't the only one that is a bit whacked-out at times. Secrets of marriage revealed (not listening to your wife because you may need to murder her in her sleep if you actually process what is being said), secrets of life shared (taking time to listen to sleeping children breathing), etc. If you are looking for a good novel, this isn't it. If you are looking for a book you can read in 20 minutes or a page a day for 70 days, get a few chuckles, wonder a bit, and ponder for days to follow, this IS it.

I purchased all three of the above books. They are wonderful. I love Brian Andreas's work. His words are magic and truly speak to the readers soul. I have given them as gifts, they are the most welcome gifts I have ever given. My daughter just gave me his hard back "Some Kind of Ride". He never disappoints.
