This review is from: Heart Care for Life: Developing the Program That Works Best for You (Yale University Press Health & Wellness) (Paperback)
What a great source of information for people who already suffer from heart disease and those who would like to avoid or postpone it. In one easy-to-read volume the authors have laid out a case for why everyone should be concerned about their heart health, and then, chapter-by-chapter, explain what can be done. The "Lifestyle and Heart Health" section condenses a lot of common knowledge into one location, while the sections on tests, treatments and recent developments explain, in easy-to-understand terms, a lot that baffle the layman. As a woman with heart disease, I also found the section on "Populations with Special Concerns," a great help. If you're only going to buy one book on heart disease, this should be it.
