I found the story to be dull and boring.

Running from intense moments to light funny exhchanges between the characters make you smile and then tense up and worry when they are in harms way!

The secondary characters are are well written and add to the story.

Very seldom here lately have I found a book that I could honestly tell people to spend their money on them to make SURE they were on their library shelves. This one, is DEFINTELY worth your money and this series, SHOULD BE MADE IN A HARDBACK VERSION. This is the third installment in this Irish Angel series, and it delivers as well as the first edition. The third sister to be found, Katie, was adopted out of an orphanage and led a charmed life before the Civil War broke out in her hometown of New Orleans. She falls in love with her best friend's brother, who comes back from the war physically and emotionally scathed. She basically buys his family's plantation with her inheritance and gets not only the house back in order, but her friend's brother as well. This edition forcuses more on the life of Katie, whereas the previous edition focused more on finding sister number two. In case you haven't read any of these, this series is about a family of four sisters who were split up after their Irish immigrant parents died from yellow fever. The series deals with the lives each of the sisters has endured. Katie's is the best so far, being adopted by a rich banker. What I liked a LOT about this book is that it didn't focus so much on the finding of Katie as the previous edition does (thus making Heart of Lies a bit "slow" in my opinion), but it deals with Katie's life, the life of the South after the Civil War, and in particular, the lives of many families in the aftermath of that terrible war. The author doesn't deal with Katie meeting her two sisters until the very end.

Hands down, if you don't read the first two, you're really going to miss something, particuarly in the first edition, Heart of Stone.

Heart of Glass is a good book. I liked the characters a lot but I wish that Lovie and Megan had been brought into more. I felt with the other two books that the theme of the books were to get them all back together and it seemed that is was an afterthought in this one (even though Kate thought of them often). That being said it really is a good book and I will read it again.

Jill Marie has hit the ball the third time with this third book in the Irish Angels Series.

If you have read the previous two then you know the background of the four young women who this series is written about.

This is Kate's story. She is one of the young sisters left at the orphange by their Uncle when they were just small girls and Kate does get adopted by a well to do society couple in New Oeleans who give her the life of wealth and priviledge. She does rememeber her two older sisters and her younger sister and often does wonder what happened to them. Hoping they may have had the same kind of life she did.

Kate does have to deal with the horrors that her older sisters did but she does have to fight for the love of her life who she has loved since she was a young girl.

Kate learns to love and have faith that God will help her through what she faces.

She does find love and family. She is eventually reunited with her two older sisters and how that comes to be is such a blessing to all.

I actually waited till I had the first three books together before I read them one right after another. Now I am looking forward to Sarah's story and all four sisters reuniting.

Kate Keene's childhood memories consisted of Amelie, her best friend, and her family, the Delany's, as well as their house Belle Fleuve. When the Civil War strikes, her life and her friends's lives forever. With Belle Fleuve in shambles, Kate feels impelled to restore it to its former glory, whether the owner and her former crush likes it or not. And unfortunately, he doesn't like it.

Colin Delany is trying to recover from a wound incurred by war and isn't interested in anything or anyone, especially an opinionated woman here to invade his life and his home and isn't taking no for an answer. He has to give her credit for her determination and her outlook even allows him to get back up on his feet and start moving on from his past, but a promise from his sister changes his and Kate's future forever.

As they start to fall in love ad care for each other, life comes up to try and tear them apart. Secrets and lies threaten to tear them apart and make them regret their decisions. When Colin is humiliated in front of a large group of people due to a secret kept from him by Kate, he's naturally livid, but his pride threatens to ruin everything that they have grown between them and Kate doesn't know what to do.

Will Kate finally have a life with her childhood crush or will she spend the rest of her life wondering what it would've been like? Will Colin's pride keep him from the woman he loves or will he realize that pride shouldn't be the thing that tears them apart? Will happiness come from loss or will more pain come from a forced situation? How will love grow between these two?
