Tommy Tenney is the author of multi-million selling The God Chasers series. He has written more than thirty books, with eight best-selling titles to date. Tommy has books in over forty languages, traveled into more than seventy-two countries and television broadcast into one hundred twenty nations. Tommy spent ten years pastoring and has spent over twenty years in itinerant ministry. His two passions are leading others to seek the presence of God and encouraging unity in the body of Christ. He is the founder of GodChasers.network, a mission's ministry organized to assist pastors globally, and distribute Tommy's teachings through various media. I knew that I was missing something in my life but what could it be? I have a relatively good life. I love the Lord and I try to do right by Him, but what was I missing? For the longest time I could not figure out what it was that I needed in my life.... so I went searching only to find trouble. See, I needed to "DO" something. You know what I mean. It's hard to "DO NOTHING". I wanted to have a closer relationship with God but I felt at a loss when going to church and praying. Everything seemed fake, a put on.... a social event. I wondered, "WHERE IS GOD IN ALL OF THIS??????" I was hungry for God in my life and everywhere that I went to be fed, had empty shelves (tho- they claimed to have it all). What a disappointment. Then I began to withdraw from the church scene all together. I felt like I was the only one who felt this way and that no one would ever understand. I was wrong! Tommy Tenney describes this in his book and tells you where to go from here. Are you hungry for God in your life? You are not alone. There are answers and "The Heart Of A God Chaser" will help show you the way. There is no need to withdraw into the depths of loneliness because of your hunger for the Lord, instead go searching for the "Bread of Life" that will fill you with everlasting life and the fulfillment you have been looking for. I read "The God Chaser" back in 2001. Later, i found this one on the internet and read it. Tommy Tenney gets to the matter of people & God and what the 2 have to do to connect.
In this book, he explains where the heart of a God chaser should be and how we should get there. His whole premise is to stop chasing other things and get your heart to seeking God full time.
I would make this suggestion. If you haven't read "The God Chaser" yet, read that one first. It wil help set the stage for this one. If you've already read it, this is the next one to read. I can't say anything more. I'll let Tommy Tenney do the rest.
