Hank Cochran doesn't get enough credit for his contributions to country music-real country music. He never was a huge name as a performer but he wrote many great songs and also helped many artists and writers further their careers. Willie Nelson for one comes to mind. This cd isn't spectacular but Hank Cochran's performing career wasn't either. I like the cd from the perspective of what country music was back when these songs were recorded.
