This review is from: The Heart Has Its Reasons: The Memoirs of the Duchess of Windsor (Hardcover)
I'm not an expert on the Windsors, in fact this is the first book I've read on the subject so I don't know if she completely skews the facts but then most memoirs are biased towards the writer anyway, I guess that's the privilege of telling one's story oneself.First this is well written so it's enjoyable and quick to read it. And second, it is a very compelling story. I'd really recommend this book for anyone interested in the Windsors, or for anyone like me who just loves well written memoirs.

This book was a huge disappointment and infact, very self serving as far as the Duchess of Windsor goes. As far as I'm concerned, I learned very little new information. The majority of the book content I had already read in other books, sources, etc. I do not recommend it unless you know little to nothing about the scandal the subject caused in the 40's.Donna M
