Book Description

Biochemist Cresso Taylor lives the sort of lifestyle most men would envy—he has wealth, natural incubus charm, and more women than he can handle. But it’s not enough anymore. Not after meeting Genevieve Russell, the sexy scientist who works with him at Elcorp Laboratory. And she wants absolutely nothing to do with him.

After her fiancé broke her heart, Genevieve has had enough of womanizers. She's determined to steer clear of sexy-as-sin Dr. Taylor, despite the fact that his incubus allure makes her want to rip his clothes off. But when a secret admirer's affection turns to the macabre with threatening notes and grisly gifts, Cresso appoints himself her protector. As she and Cresso hunt her stalker, she discovers there's a lot more to the sensual incubus than she ever imagined.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it January 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Rosalie Lario has done it again, Heart of an Incubus is addictive, non-stop action, filled with steamy scenes and has you glued to the pages from page one!!

I love these demons. We have seen Cresso through out the brothers books and we know he has someone he has fallen for, and now we finally get to know the exact situation. Poor Cresso has finally found a vaccine to let incubus sleep with humans without killing them but now he only has eyes for one human..Genevive. But she is not jumping on the chance to roll around in the sack with an incubus after her last ex boyfriend cheated on her. They both clearly have feelings but try to fight it. Then when Gen gets some threatening letters and even more creepy surprises Cresso is there to help, which is where both of their guards get more worn down.

I was in love with both characters. Yes Gen needs some protection but she is by no means a damsel in distress. Cresso is an incubus but really shows us he can be a one women guy. Rosalie Lario always come through with amazing reads. Genevive is in for one fun ride, I mean how fun would it be to have an incubus lover without any of the killing side effects.lol.

Cresso Taylor is a biochemist. He'd gorgeous, wealthy and an incubus. He needs sex to live and he's had his choice of succubus women, sometimes two at a time. Now that he's developed a vaccine to that neutralizes the poison the incubus and succubus secrete, Cresso can find substance with human women as well. Only he doesn't want just any human woman, he wants Genevieve Russell.

Genevieve knows all about Cresso and his sex life. She just broke up with her cheating fiancé and has no desire to be with a male who sleeps with multiple partners. Only when Cresso is around, her heart doesn't seem to care what she thinks.

When a threatening secret admirer stalks Genevieve, Cresso decides to step in as her protector. As they try to figure out who is behind the grisly gifts the admirer leaves behind, Cresso and Genevieve begin to get to know each other, not as colleagues but as friends. Cresso wants a meaningful relationship and would vow to be faithful to one woman, but Genevieve has been hurt and she's afraid to trust again. Genevieve learns there is more to Cresso than what he is and how he must survive.

This is a novella from the Demons of Infernum series. Though this story is short, it doesn't lack in plot or steamy romance. The sexual tension builds as the story unfolds with the mystery. Gorgeous, caring, brave and brilliant--how could you not love Cresso? He doesn't want to use his need to feed as a tool for exploiting females. Cresso genuinely cares about demons and humans alike. He also yearns for a meaningful relationship. Genevieve has been hurt, but she's a strong woman, who needs to work through her pain, but she's not so closed off that she can't see past her grief and see Cresso for the man he truly is. This is a truly heartwarming addition to Ms.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love this series!!! January 15, 2012

Heart of the Incubus, Demons of Infernum #4, by Rosalie Lario
Grade: B-

"You're a sex demon. If I need someone humped to death I'll call you."

Cresso Taylor is in love and for an incubus that can be a dangerous thing considering you can kill your partner during sex if they aren't a succubus. After discovering a vaccine that allows sex demons the ability to have sex with non-sex demons, Cresso thought maybe he would be able to finally give in to his feelings to his sexy co-worker Genevieve. Unfortunately Genevieve wants nothing to do with Cresso and makes this clear every chance she gets but that doesn't stop how he feels about her and that fact that he would do anything and everything for her.

Genevieve Russell has sworn of men especially playboys like her ex-cheating fiance and the sexy as hell Dr. Cresso Taylor. While trying to fight off her desire for the sexy incubus doctor and finish her research someone decides to start stalking Genevieve. At first it's just letters but soon someone is sending her dead animals and Cresso steps in to not only protect her but to find and stop the male or female harassing her. Cresso and Genevieve are now forced to be around one another and both find it almost unbearable to stop their feelings and desires for the other.

I am a big fan of the Demons of Infernum series and was so excited that Cresso was going to get his own book. Cresso played a big role in previous books and we got to see a little bit of his attraction to Genevieve in Touch of the Angel when they help make the vaccine for Ronin and Amara. I defiantly recommend reading this series in order or else you will have a hard time understanding what is going on and who everyone is.

4.0 out of 5 stars I am ALL about the Demons January 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Cresso Taylor was used to women flinging themselves at him. Not only was he drop dead gorgeous and very wealthy, he was also an incubus whose natural charms and magnetism drew the fairer sex like flies to honey. How typical that fate would have him fall in love with the one woman who seemed not only immune to his many charms but to actively disdain them. Dr. Genevieve Russell was certainly aware of Cresso's stunning appearance and sexual pull, she was also one of the few humans aware that he was an incubus. That just made her more determined to avoid him at all costs. After having her heart broken by her playboy fiancé, Jeffrey, she would never fall or become involved with that type of man again.

This was a shorter, slightly different version of The Demons of Infernum books. While one of the brothers Taeg and his mate Maya make a substantial appearance, this book is the first not to revolve around the demon half brothers and the council. And while there is a sinister element, it is not the world ending type of drama we have come to expect from this series. That being said, different is definitely not bad, especially when different comes from such a talented writer as Ms. Lario. I'm beginning to think Rosalie Lario is one of those rare writers that could write menus and still make them best seller material.

This is one of my favorite kind of books. The type where the playboy hero has lost his heart to a woman he has to work for and to prove his worthiness. Not that Cresso was a bad type of guy, he was an incubus and it is what it is, but a slice of humble pie is always good for the soul. His feelings for Genevieve would have probably gone ignored if it wasn't for the nasty stalker that Genevieve has acquired.

More About the Author

Rosalie Lario is the award-winning, paranormal romance author of the Demons of Infernum and the Fallen Warriors series. Rosalie double majored in Anthropology and Classics as an undergraduate student, and briefly considered becoming an archaeologist before realizing they don't actually live the life of Indiana Jones. So what was a classical geek armed with a lot of useless knowledge to do? Become a lawyer, of course!

After attending law school in Florida, she practiced real estate law for several years before finally admitting to herself that negotiating contracts wasn't nearly as fun as dreaming up stories. She never imagined all the mythology she'd learned throughout her undergraduate education might actually come in handy, but it makes perfect fodder for the paranormal romance stories she now dreams up.

When not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children in their home state of Florida. You can visit Rosalie at her website: http://www.RosalieLario.com.
