Kathy Sledge is such a wonderful singer, it amazes me that she hasn't released more solo albums. She has such a great history of songs with Sister Sledge that I never could pick a favorite. Probably because I just love her voice. This album called "HEART" is a great solo album and has dance songs as well as ballads, and she co-wrote 2 of the songs, one with her husband. Here is a list for those who would like to know her solo history without Sister Sledge:

1. 1983- She sings a duet with Stacy Lattisaw on Stacy's album called
"SIXTEEN". The name of the song is "WHAT'S SO HOT 'BOUT BAD BOYS?".

2. 1989- On the soundtrack- "LAMBADA: SET THE NIGHT ON FIRE", Kathy
sings a song called "LAMBADA DANCIN'".

3. 1992- Kathy releases her first and only (so far) solo album called
"HEART". 3 singles come off the album- "TAKE ME BACK TO LOVE",
"ALL OF MY LOVE" and "HEART".

4. 1994- Hiroshi Fujiwara- NOTHING MUCH BETTER TO DO cd
Has original versions of Kathy Sledge singing- "Let My Love Shine",
and the duet of her & Julien Brookes- "A Song For Two".

4. 1995- She released a cd single- a club song called "ANOTHER DAY",
which she co-wrote.
Also in 1995, she released a cd single- a club version of a
Stevie Wonder song called "ANOTHER STAR". The song is originally
from Stevie's 1976 album "SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE".

5. 1997- Robert Miles released a cd single called "FREEDOM" featuring
Kathy Sledge. The song is from Robert's album "23am".

6. 1998- K-klass puts out an album called "K2" and it has two songs
that feature Kathy Sledge on vocals- "KNOCKING DOWN THE WALLS"
and "GIVE IT UP".

7. 1999- A cd single called "READY" is released by King Britt
Presents SCUBA featuring Kathy Sledge.

8. 2000- Hiroshi Fujiwara released his cd called REMIXES and 2 songs
feature Kathy Sledge on lead vocal- "LET MY LOVE SHINE" and "A SONG
FOR TWO" (a duet with Julien Brookes)- remixes of the 1994 original
versions. *This cd comes in a slipcase and on the outside of the slipcase
it correctly states that Phoebe Snow sings lead on the song "MY EMOTION"-
inside the slipcase it incorrectly states Kathy Sledge sings lead on it.
Also- on the outside of the slipcase it incorrectly states
that Takashi Hamazaki sings lead on "A SONG FOR TWO", when in
fact it is a duet with Kathy Sledge & Julien Brookes.

9. 2001- A cd single called "RISING" is released by King Britt
Presents Sylk 130 Featuring Kathy Sledge.

10. 2011- Adam Barta Feat. Kathy Sledge- "GIVE YOURSELF UP" cd single
There are 2 cd singles of remixes for this song- CD1 and CD2).

So there you go. You could compile all these songs not on the "HEART"
album and you would have a second solo album. Enjoy.

this is a gem from "take me back" to "heart" to "i think of you" there is not a bad cut.....highly recommended!!!

I truly love this Cd. I bought it 3 times. People keep stealing it from me once I play it. There is not one bad song. Timing was just off. "Take me back to Love" a must, both versions! And The title track a record about love and "all of my love" I had to have, but another gem is "I think of You"

This ia just a solid effort,from start to finish. Kathy has a very distinct voice which she uses perfectly on this album.
