Editorial Reviews

Product Description
The Heart Knows the Way: How to Follow Your Heart to a Conscious Connection with the Divine Spirit Within -- is a remarkably intimate and revealing account by the author of how she sought a better, more loving and enlightened approach to helping her husband through his lengthy decline and death.

In the process she opened to a personal relationship with God, gained new insight into one of life's most feared experiences, and completed the experience free of sadness and guilt, with renewed joy, meaning, purpose and reaffirmation of life.

From the Publisher
This book is an unflinching account of Fern Stewart Welch's journey through her husband's decline and death. It is a poignant reminder of the meanings that can be found even in life's most difficult moments, and a testimony to the precious love that can bind people together--Larry Dossey, M.D.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, July 13, 2006
The Heart Knows the Way is one of those small books that will be going strong for many years, as it touches the core of every human being's search for love and a connection with God. It doesn't oversell its message or scream out for attention. The author just gently and subtly allows the story to unfold as she shares her husband's lengthy decline and death. Fern Stewart Welch discovered a triple whammy in this process: a personal connection with God, insight into one of life's most feared natural events, and joy, meaning, purpose and reaffirmation of life. Not bad for a slender volume (161 pages) that simply and honestly brings together the heart desires of the human experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Spiritual Classic in the Making, July 24, 2006
By Rebecca Alexander (Scottsdale, AZ USA) - See all my reviews
I was initially drawn to "The Heart Knows the Way" by the beautiful cover illustration and the title. When I picked up the book and noted its size, I was instantly reminded of the half-dozen pocket-size books -- now dog-eared, time-worn and held together by masking tape -- that are my "go to" books when I need an attitude adjustment and to be reminded of and inspired by the goodness in life and in people. "The Heart Knows the Way" is a little book with mighty messages, and it now graces my collection of timeless treasures.
