Christians believe that Jesus can truly change our lives. At the same time we cannot love someone we don't know. I have written this book to help you on your journey to know Jesus better, from the inside. These 32 short meditations aim to grant you a window on Jesus' heart, so you can have a better idea of what he felt, experienced, and lived every day of his life.
Sometimes we have a romanticized idea of Jesus, and some images of him -- with languid smiles and liquid brown eyes -- make him look more like a Latin American soap opera star than the Savior of the world! We need to meet the real Jesus. His heart was merciful, compassionate and sensitive, but also rugged, resolute and realistic. He is truly a model for each one of us.
These short essays are all based directly on God's Word. They are meant to guide you in your journey to know Jesus better, to love him more deeply, and to imitate him more perfectly in your own day-to-day life. I pray that the Holy Spirit will assist you at every moment in this wonderful adventure.
I have loved writing this book, since it has given me a chance to think and pray about all the things I love about Jesus Christ, all the things that attract me to him and make me want to be a better disciple. It is a joy for me to share all of this with you. I hope that it helps you as much as it has helped me.
God bless you on your journey!
