We are using this workbook in the women's bible study group at my church, and the reaction has been unanimously positive. This is in an easy-to-follow workbook format; the workbook has questions to make you think and to be sure you're reading with understanding, but is not so intense that you feel as though you're toiling through grad school or psychotherapy! In the past I've had a hard time with Old Testament scripture, thinking of it as history/stories without direct application to my life. This study has me so excited about David that I have to slow myself down in my reading to be on the same chapter as everyone else for the week! It's teaching me about the nature of God, how to pray, and more, and I'm only partway through! I didn't give it 5 stars only because it might be a little too "light" for someone with more theology/bible study under her belt.

Anyone who desires to know more about the Word of God and develop and intimate relationship with Him should read this wonderfully written and insightful look at how God communicates with us. Through a study of David, you will learn how to hear the Word of God and apply what He teaches us to our everyday lives. She is truly an annointed follower of Christ and has a gift that she herself claims is for us, not herself, because it is His will for her life. Anyone that reads this study will be changed and their walk with Christ strengthens right before their eyes.

I love this study on David. You can easily do it without the video and will still be amazed at how much you learn. Beth Moore is truly gifted at presenting the truth of the Bible in an applicable way to you today. She digs deeper than most studies, yet provides you with the background you need to know to bring it all together. I find she takes a scripture verse I have read numerous times and gives me the background to under it much more fully. I can say without a doubt this study changed my life!

Beth Moore is my favorite Bible Study leader; the depth of study with background history makes me feel like I've traveled back over the milenia and can hear the bleeting of the sheep and hear the whoosh of the slingshot! (I also love Beth's 90's "Barbie" hairdo)

This book as been a great study. I have learned much from it. The questions are clear and easy to follow. Makes a good group or as a single study. It has been very satisfying. Beth Moore does an excellent job of keeping your attention.

I recommend this study to anyone who is serious about growing in their faith. It is an intense study with a lot of homework, but well worth it.

I ordered this workbook because the ladies in my church wanted to do the video Bible Study. Most of them had already gone through this, but I had not. It is an excellent study. My Bible study group says they are still learning from it. The workbook really helped me. It was like new. It took almost 3 weeks before I received it, but was worth the wait.

This item was like new. The cover was only a little worn looking and the inside had not been marked in at all. I didn't care really whether it was or not, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that it was in such great condition. That would have helped in the selection process. This book is somewhat outdated, but it is the one I needed so I was thankful to find it and in such great condition.

A perfect Bible study for those searching the heart of Christ. Beautiful connection between the old testament and the new testament. Really helps in your growth with your relationship with Jesus!

I need to revised 2010 addition - this book will have to be returned.
Beth Moore updated this study Nov 2010 so this is the "older" one.
It will not work with her new study.
