They Just Got Better,

Perhaps one of the most talented bands from the eighties. In listening to these two disks they had just gotten better and better. Through the Barricades is such and excellent representation of the group. Heart Like A Sky is also an excellent album. Their ability to produce hit songs that stand on their own is amazing. Each member of the band seems to have perfected his skill on his instruement and his role in the band.

More Spandau Ballet than ever.,

Their last, and most elaborated works. The execution of the melodies is the strong point of both albums. The production is perfect and each song is the highest Spandau Ballet's seal.
For me, "Through the Barricades" is the highest level of awesomeness of Spandau Ballet. The first part of the album kick asses and at last, when you hear the song that gives the title to the album, makes you think is the best thing you've heard in a long time. About "Heart Like a Sky" It's a pity that has sold so little. I think the cause is the start of 90's and the change of new sounds. Maybe the half part of the album little weak, but anyway, worth hearing! |
