About the Author

For eighteen years Maria J. Andrade, M.F.T., has been a bilingual therapist and educator. She is founder of the Heart Magic partnership and mentoring program. Her specialty is working with couples and families. Besides her book, Heart Magic: Keeping Love Alive and Well, she has written poetry and stories for children. She lives in California where she shares a private counseling practice with her husband.

Maria J. Andrade was born in Ecuador, South America, raised in New York and lives and works in California. She is a poet and author. Her poetry book, "Singing My Self Home" includes bilingual poetry and focuses on her interest in love, dreams and transformation as well as the power of nature to awaken us from unconsciousness.

She writes for those who want to find love and peace under their roof and for children who live in the world of magic which she helps keep alive in her stories.

Maria has done an enormous service to everyone with her book, Heart Magic: Keeping Love Alive & Well. There are very few people that have not been affected by relationship either from their parents or from their own partners. There are more than enough books, websites and articles about finding their mate or partner,but not enough information out there on how to keep love alive and well. If we don't have the proper tools to maintain a relationship how can we all survive on the larger global issues? Maria gives very practicle easy to use Principles with Do's and Don'ts for a healthy relationship. Her case histories make it easy for most people to identify with their own experiences. I recommend her book to my clients and to anyone that has been, or will be in a relationship to read. Thank you for your time, Sy Cohn, MFT

Reading this book has been very helpful for my partner and I to understand the areas we needed to work on in our relationship. It reminded us that in a relationship we have to continue to work hard to keep the love alive since it is easy to fall in a routine and take your partner for granted. i think this is a great gift for anyone in a monogamous relationship.
