A Naval Aviators first hand account of Carrier Air Warfare,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Heart of a Man: A Naval Pilot's Vietnam Diary (Hardcover)
A no holds barred view of how Naval Aviation played an important role in the Vietnam War. Truely patriotic and humbling. This is an account of a man who loved his country and made the ultimate sacrifice.

This review is from: The Heart of a Man (The Dell War Series) (Mass Market Paperback)
I had been looking for this book for many years. It arrived in like-new condition right on time as promised. A very good read, but a sad read nevertheless. My father was a Naval aviator of WWII/Korean War vintage, so Lt. Elkins' loss was especially meaningful to me. I am grateful to his widow for seeing to it that the diary was published. The courage and sacrifice of men such as Lt. Elkins should never be forgotten.
