It is awesome folks. "Let's Pretend", the first cut, takes you into Larry's life as he kicks back in the backyard and "pretends" to be in Port A. "Matagorda" is another "Tropical Paradise" winner with an added blend of Calypso/Reggae. "Men of Steel", an exceptionally well done tribute to Ms. Rose of Shortys is another audible trip into yesteryear and the lives and living that was. "Two Stepping on the Beach" sums up the experience of the Texas Gulf life and embodies and embraces all things "Coastal & Western". "Let 'em Dance Around" us captures the essence of you and yours oblivious to all others on the dance floor. "Coconuts" has a zany flavor that is destined to be a favorite right along with Island Time and Corona Con Lima... you try saying "The lady did the limbo low" three times real fast! A fantastic mixture of Reggae influenced Western, ballads and sing-a-longs that is Larry Joe Taylor and his music. This CD belongs in your collection, no doubt about it. |
