My favorite new cd! I first heard "Heart of Mine"--the song, in the film "Keeping The Faith"-- and I couldn't get it out of my head. But the whole cd is really good. Good hooks, smart lyrics, great voice, in the same orbit as Elliott Smith, Amee Mann, and Elvis Costello. My new favorites on the album are "Magdalene" and "Big Deal" though "Heart of Mine" is a beautiful song.

. .. you will like Peter Salett. I heard the title track in a movie and bought this CD - it is sort of folky and melancholy and the lyrics are wonderful and non-cliched. The title song is the best track on the album.

Unlike these reviewers I have never seen Keeping the Faith. (Maybe I should?) A friend of mine brought me to see one of Peter Salett's shows in Philadelphia and I was completely blown away. At the show I bought a copy of Heart of Mine. The songs are great - a real honest quality to them and their easy to relate to. Memorable tunes that are easy to sing along to. I like Big Deal because it really shows off his voice, which is unbelievable. Don't miss a chance to see him live.

Peter Salett is finally stepping into the spotlight and it's about time. This is his second CD. "Heart of Mine" is clearly a classic love song now. But discover other catchy tunes, romantic songs, as well as some deeper, sometime darker songs on this album as well. His voice is rich, his musicianship remarkable and his lyrics very intelligent. I find Peter Salett's music very refreshing and original in many ways. His first album, "Paintings of These Days" has a different overall texture, a little more country/folk maybe but equally good! I strongly recommend both CD's. Also, Peter Salett is incredible on stage....

My husband initially bought this cd for me because I was a fan of Keeping the Faith. When I listened to the rest of the cd, I was amazed! Every time I listen to it I change my mind about which song is my favorite. Today it's Am I Still In Love with You. Beautiful melodies & lyrics! Peter Salett's voice is incredible, I can listen to it for hours. Luckily, so can my family!

This is one of the best albums I've heard in quite some time. Peter Salett has a fresh style that is his own--his music is soothing and yet covers the entire spectrum of emotion. Heart of Mine is my favorite track, but they are all quite good.

I'm definitely glad I saw Keeping the Faith and heard his music. This cd will be in my stereo for quite some time.

If you don't have this cd you seriously should get it!! With most of my cds i skip lots of tracks, but i listen to this one straight through every time. Its music everyone in my family agrees on!! i also love his first cd. I think it's only available through his website petersalett.com

Great CD! Wonderful and mellow music. All of the songs are very catchy - nothing annoying about this album. It's a keeper. If you like Elliott Smith, or David Gray you will like Peter Salett.

I think soon everyone will have heard of this guy. Heart of Mine is awesome and I can't wait to hear more. Favorite songs include the title track and Hey, Hands. Beautiful, mellow, bittersweet...

For those of you who watched "Keeping the Faith" and fell in love with Peter Salett's song from the soundtrack let me just break it to you - that's the only one worth listening to from this entire album. I was horribly disappointed when I received this CD and would have sent it back if I hadn't had to open it to find out how bad it was. My advice is this: If you are ordering this CD because you heard and loved "Heart of Mine" you have to decide whether ONE song is worth .... I'm sorry if this sounds overly harsh, but I wouldn't want anyone else to feel this disappointed in a purchase.
