This is one of those CDs that just don't come out of the CD player for a long time once you put it in. There is something so soothing and beautifully ambient about this music that I have yet to tire of it at all. Once it is playing, it's warmth and spirit fill my home in the most pleasing way. It is rare that I find music which so effects me. No matter how stressed out I am, once I hear this, my thoughts begin quiet and my body relaxes. I find myself listening while doing things around the house, reading, talking on the phone, and doing yoga, but my favorite is to listen at bedtime. This is the perfect music for relaxing before bed or even to go to sleep to, which is what I do often. I have also enjoyed other healing music CDs from the Gordons such as Garden of Serenity, or Sanctuary, so I knew I would probably like this one too. That not only turned out to be true, but they seem to just keep getting better and better. Highest Recommendation.

A super meditative or "working" background CD from the Art of Healing Series from Sequoia Records. The Gordons are known for their wonderful collection of Sacred Drum CDs - Sacred Earth Drums, Sacred Drum Visions, Drum Prayer. This work is in a very different vein. It blends nature sounds with ambient music to create a soothing flow. Strong on the synths and keyboards here. There are only three tracks on the disc with a total time of 61:09, just the right length for a yoga or meditation session, spa treatments, a Tarot reading or a body work session. It is peaceful, yet evocative and joyful to listen to. It is a CD that I can drop in the player and hit the repeat button to take me through a series of clients without feeling that I NEED to change the music. I have a wide collection of New Age music and yet am happy to add this one to my library.

Here is the perfect album to relax with! The opening track, Healing Ocean, begins and continues with the recurrent and soothing sound of ocean waves upon a beach, the sound of seagulls and a gently orchestrated symphonic synthesizer, allowing me to go wherever I want and feel the healing sounds of nature upon my being. On Flow of Harmony, abundant wild birds chirp and sing, a soothing stream flows and tumbles and ambient musical textures lend abundant peace and relaxation, taking me to a harmonious and blissful, magical and paradisiacal place. On Awakening Peace, lakeside water rhythmically laps against the shoreline with delightful and diverse birdsong, and ambient piano and keyboards lull me into a perfectly peaceful environment. I highly recommend this album for relaxing or for any healing, yoga or spa experience!

Okay, so I am a huge fan of the Gordon brothers and have been for years, but that shouldn't lessen the fact that I absolutely love their latest release, Heart of Peace, which I just finished listening to. As a long time healing practioner I know that creating the right ambience for my sessions is incredibly important; that's why I have been successfully utilizing the Gordon's music for well over a decade in my practice. This new release marks the debut of their Art of Healing series and I am really looking forward to what lies ahead, if this is any example of what I can expect. Heart of Peace offers over an hour of deeply relaxing and incredibly soothing ambient music set against lush environmental soundscapes of ocean waves, birdsong and gently running streams and goes deeper into the realms the Gordon's have explored in previous releases such as Garden of Serenity, one of my favorite titles, ever. I highly recommend this CD for healers and bodyworkers. My wife has been using this for her Yoga sessions as well and loves it. It's perfect for dropping into a tranquil place deep within your own heart of peace.

I have this CD and absolutely love it. Super mellow, FANTASTIC for my morning meditations. This is truly a beautiful piece of art. I adore it so much I am getting this for my Aunt for Christmas (I also am getting Misty Forest Morning and Music of the Tarot) she is going to be thrilled!

I have many CD's of this genre by many different artists and would have to say that this is definitley not one of the best. I would have to disagree with listeners who find this CD such superb meditation music. The Gordons have some decent material out there but with this one they just seem to try too hard. Instead of peaceful and flowing, the CD is just too "busy"...kind of forcing itself on you. It's just not that soothing or calming-too much going on and the sounds of music/nature are just not blended well. They seem to exist separately, almost competing with each other for the listener's attention rather than providing a harmonious atmosphere. If you're looking for meditative material, I would probably not recommend this one.

Quickly and easily the tracks on this album create a fresh space full of warmth and peace. Ultimately this means that it is idea for massage, healing, meditation etc. The artists have done a great job of incorporating the sounds of waves and birdsong ++ to create a soothing environment anywhere. Job well done! Also recommend Soothing Sanctuary.
