I'm not into Reiki or new age music, but this CD is special. I discovered it by chance, like some of the other reviewers. This is music you just can't ignore when you hear it. I usually find "new age music" boring, like water: clear, but colorless and tasteless. This is not the case here. This long, sixty-minute piece (a single track with index points, if your CD player can access them) envelops you from the very beginning and sends you on a soothing trip. There is a certain "spark" on this recording which I had never heard in any other "meditation" CD. The piece evolves without much change, but you never get tired of hearing it. I wonder if all Merlin's Magic CDs are as good as this one. This group (which happens to be German) deserves to be marketed to a wider audience, not just Reiki practitioners and new age fans.

This CD is wonderful for relaxing. I would recommend it for Massage Therapist or any type of session which you want to set the stage for total relaxation.

I first heard the sound track in a shop. Unfortunately, the CD was not for sale, so, I ordered it from Amazon, and as soon as I received it I couldn't wait to play it and fill the place with its relaxing sounds. When you listen to it, it feels as if you're floating in paradise! It is very relaxing when Im tired, and calming when Im in anger. The closest words I can used to describe the music is: forest, birds and water falls. I highly recommend it.

You'd be surprised (then again maybe not) how many CDs I have just taking up shelf space trying to find another ambient piece on a par with this one. I'm a Qigong/meditation teacher and find that the proper music can often help students relax when all the instruction in the world just isn't getting through. Relaxing and going with the flow is essential to just about any body/mind practice, and 'The Heart of Reiki' accomplishes that with ease. It's engaging without being obtrusive, and interesting enough to be listened to again and again without being tiresome (a very admirable quality when I've used it in classes every week for a couple of years now). I've tried them all and the only other one that even comes close is Arian Lydon's 'The Open Harp'. You know it's good when students still want to order a copy of their own after hearing it a dozen times. This is a great CD for T'ai Chi, Yoga, Qigong, Reiki, massage, meditation, or just to hang out with. It's one of my all time favorites. It just never gets old.

My friend, a Reiki practitioner, had this in his personal CD collection. Looking for some kind of music to soothe me, I pulled this one out, slipped it in the player, and was pleasantly surprised. Just as you might expect, this would make a great CD to use in giving Reiki, practicing yoga, meditation, or other healing work. But I enjoy playing it at other times as well, especially when I want to calm my jangled nerves. Plus even my rambunctious puppy responds to the lovely music.

I purchased "Heart OF Reike" two years ago and it is, by far, the nicest one I have ever found! Everytime I play it for someone, they fall in love with it. The music brings you a place of calm and rejuvenation! The soothing tones transport you a plane that is enriching and healing. Whoever purchases it, will not be disappointed!

Merlin's Magic provides another soothing, soulful album of music for Reiki or other healing and meditative arts. This music is great for helping one relax and open to the flow of healing energy, while it is melodic and varied enough to not put you to sleep. I personally like the Merlin's Magic album Reiki - The Light Touch best from this producer, though this one is nearly as enjoyable.

I reaaly love this CD. My Reiki master plays this during treatments and I liked it so much I got the CD for home listening. Very relaxing melody, very mello but not so much that you fall asleep. Great for Reiki as the CD is just over 1 hour long - about the same as a typical treatment. This would be perfect for the car on a scenic drive, or for a long airplane ride. You will love this CD.

I have been playing this cd everywhere - at work, at home, at friends - it is stunning in its simple beauty.

As a massage therapist this is one of my overall favorites and one that my clients just love. I would rate this in my top 5 of all my massage / relaxation music. My clients --even the very stressed-out ones -- are able to relax to this CD. I can still enjoy it as I listen to it everyday and not get tired of it. It takes my clients (and me) into a deeply relaxed state. The continous repetition of the simple theme and harmonies contribute to gentle and progressive slowing down of the body and mind into a meditative state. The music is slow, calm, flowing and melodic, and yet still has enough structure to keep the mind dreamily engaged while moving into progressive relaxation, without being boring. I highly recommend this for massage, Reiki, any type of bodywork for relaxation, yoga, meditation - but don't listen to it while driving!
