a book that gives us the inside story,where other books about Nick will never reach.A book for all die-hard Nick Carter fans.You have to get it! The book is filled with info about Nick's life,it's filled with joys and tears,that make you cry and laugh all at the same time.And at the end,you look at Nick in a different light,he's not just a blonde haired, blue eyes,great smile guy in one of the worlds most talented bands,he's a person. He worked hard to achieve his goal,and thank the lord he did,or I wouldn't be able to sleep at night,without hearing his voice! This is one of the best books that I have ever read,if you are one of the die-hard Nick fans,like me,you'll know that this book will be worth every cent of your money. Mrs.Jane Carter,I salute you for raising Nick in your tender love and care,thanks for helping him achieve his goal!

I bought Jane's book last year, but actually haven't had any time to review it. Now I do and I can't wait! This is, honestly, one of the best biographies I've ever read. I love biographies, and I know when I see a good one. This book is so easy to read I guarantee you'll do it in less than 2 hours. I even did that! And my mother language is Spanish, not English. Besides, it's not only about Nick. Jane gives you the full scoope on the Carter family, their way of living, to conquer goals and more! When I read it... I just though of my mom. And if you really pay attention to it, you'll see why Nick came out the way he is! That's what YOU call a perfect fan! Congratulations Jane! P.S. Any chance of writing another one about the other boys? ~*HUGS*~

this is a great book and a must for all backstreet boy fans and for anyone who is thinking about a career in music

This is one of the best books I have ever read on the Backstreet Boys. Obviously it was on Nick Carter, you know from the title. But, Jane Carter also would add some tidbits on the Backstreet Boys and their way to fame. It was really inspirational, it showed that you should NEVER give up on a dream, because, who knows? One day, it might come true, like Nick's. It was great to read something like this, it was REALLY well written, and there's even a special intro written by Nick himself. I almost cried reading it, it was really heartfelt and sentimental. Thank you Jane for writting this book, it means everything to me.

As the mother of a teenage Nick Carter fan, who likes to keep up on her daughter's interests, I decided to read "The Heart and Soul of Nick Carter." I am so glad I did. Not only did it give me some insight as to why my daughter is so in love with this singer whose pictures are plastered all over her bedroom (he is so much more than just a gorgeous, talented performer) but it also gave a lot of insight on parenting. Jane Carter is one incredible woman (which is probably why her son is such a sweetheart). I love the fact that she taught Nick to never lose sight of the morals and values in life that are truly important - regardless of how much success he achieves. In a world filled with "show-biz" moms - who will stop at virtually nothing to push their child into the spotlight - it's so nice to know there are moms like Jane who teach their children to respect all people, regardless of their age, appearance or status in life. I love the advice Jane gave Nick throughout his life. So much of it is the same advice I give my own daughter (who also happens to be an aspiring singer). Jane, if you are reading this, I just want to thank you for reaffirming what I've been trying to teach my daughter. Just as you did with Nick, I try to instill in my daughter to be true to herself and hold on to her dreams of performing throughout the disappointments, because singing is so much a part of her. However, being a teenager she doesn't always believe what I tell her, but she does listen to you. (I've been quoting you to her a lot lately.) Because you raised the person she idolizes most, your advice is truly meaningful to her. I only wish we could talk to you personally. I really could use more of you insightful parenting tips (and so could my daughter). Thanks for writing such a wonderfully inspiring book. I hope a lot more moms read it.

Of course when I heard about this book, I ran out to the store and bought it. I immediately began reading it, and I didn't put it down until I was done. I was expecting another "teeny bopper" book, that was written only to make money, but instead I found life-long lessons and lots of insight on how to survive in today's society. Jane did a wonderful job raising Nick. The morals and lessons she instilled in him are evident, and his voice is simply oustanding. I commend her and her husband, Bob, for everything they did. I would reccomend this book, not only to devoted bsb or nick fans, but to anyone who wants to read about how to achieve their dreams. This book is a definate two thumbs up!

I HAVE NEVER REALLY PICK UP A BOOK IN MY LIFE. THIS ONE I COULD NOT PUT DOWN! JANE IS THE BEST MOTHER I IMAGINABLE. SHE'S GIVEN UP HER LIFE FOR HER FAMILY. IT'S LIKE SOMETHING YOU WOULD SEE IN THE MOVIES/TV SHOW. SHE'S MANAGED TO BRING HER CHILDREN UP, IN TODAY'S SOCIETY, WITH VALUES AND GOOD HEARTS. THIS BOOK ISN'T ONLY FOR YOUNG TEENAGE CHILDREN, BUT FOR PARENTS TOO. THEY MIGHT LEARN A THING OR TWO FROM JANE.

NICK HAS ONLY RECEIVED IN LIFE WHAT HE'S WORKED SO HARD TO ACHIEVE. HE'S NOT ONLY BEEN BLESS WITH TALENT, BUT A TERRIFIC FAMILY WHO WILL BE WITH HIM WHEREVER HE MY BE. SUCCESS WAS JUST WAITING FOR HIM FROM THE DAY HE WAS BORN. MUSIC IS HIS PASSION AND WILL NEVER DIE, BUT KEEPING GROWING IN EVERY POSSIBLE PATH. AARON WILL EVENTUALLY FOLLOW IN HIS BROTHER'S FOOTSTEPS.

I FOUND THE FAMILY GENEALOGY FASINATING. IT'S SOMETHING WE STUDY INTENSIVELY AT HOME ALSO. YOU FIND THINGS IN YOUR FAMILY TREE YOU NEVER COULD PHATOM.

I LIKE TO THANK JANE FOR HER INSIGHT, ANGELIC SOUL, AND LOVING HEART. THIS BOOK HAS EXTREMELY TOUCH MY HEART AND SOUL.

When I read this book I was big BSB Fan, and I loved it! But I will tell you this if you are not a huge BSB fan, I don't recommand it. It is not a book for just any one, for it is really the Heart and Soul of Nick Carter. His mother I guess you could say brags about her wonderful son and all his accomplishments and shares cute pictures. But with me not being as big of a fan as I used to I don't appreciate it as much. And I will say this very honestly, if you love BSB and want to be the #1 Fan, buy it and read it, you will enjoy learning new things, but if not and you are a fan just looking for a good book I don't recomand it you wil probably see it differently as a mother bragging in a bad way (he has this you don't kind of way)and not appreciate this. Jane Carter just wanted to entertian the true fans with the truth the whole truth about her son, not tring to brag in the process, but its hard not to with a son like nick!

This book was an amazing and well written book. It has such inspirational words of how Nick Carter a Backstreetboy made it through the music bussniss. The book is very truthfull because it was written by jane Carter nick's mother. She tells the readers how he began and how he failed at first but then of course never gave up. You should definitly buy this book. You will never forget the inspirational words of a Backstreet Boys mother. ( also includes phhotos of Nick as a young boy)

I bought this book not only because I like the BSB's, but because I wanted to see Nick Carter grow up through someone's eyes who knew him well. I've finished the book and I feel as if I've known Nick ever since he was a little boy. I was there when he sang 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' I was there when he was busting a move on the Yankee Rebel dance floor. Jane, you've made this book so unbelieveably wonderful it feel's like I actually grew up with Nick, you and the rest of the family. Through the highs and the lows of your family's life to Nick and Aaron's rise to fame, you've told us things only a mother would know, and I am honored to be apart of it. I'm a 15 year old girl who lives in Australia and have never seen the BSB's perform live or really get to know what they are like (even though I know they're nice people!), but with this book, you've showed me exactly how nice and talented one fifth of the Backstreet Boys really are. I feel like I now know Nick: the person and not just Nick: the Backstreet Boy. I can't thank you enough for writing this book, but thank you, thank you, thank you!!
