By showing the way to what mystics have experienced for thousands of years, David Cooper's accessible, clear advice provides invaluable guidance both for students already studying with a meditation teacher, and for those who want to develop a meditative practice on their own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Main Psychological Events During Meditation, March 18, 2001
By
Nemen M. Terc (Hallandale Beach, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Heart of Stillness: A Complete Guide to Learning the Art of Meditation (Paperback)
This is an extraordinary book about what happens in the minds of meditators. It describes clearly and accurately important feelings and thought processes that occur during meditative states. Like no one I have read before, the clarity and accuracy of mental events during meditative states are described in detail by someone who is evidently intimately familiar with such states. It helps readers understand what its happening in their minds. It is a must read for those who are inquiring into Tibetan Buddhism, Krishnamurti, Vernon Howard and other Masters.
