4.0 out of 5 stars Worthy commentary, but not the best of Osho, September 12, 2009

This review is from: The Heart Sutra: Discourses on the Prajnaparamita Hridayam Sutra of Gautama the Buddha (Paperback)
This is a worthy commentary on The Heart Sutra, a key text of Mahayana Buddhism. Other good commentaries on this tricky text can be found in the versions by Edward Conze (Buddhist Wisdom: The Diamond Sutra and The Heart Sutra) and Bernie Glassman (Infinite Circle: Teachings in Zen). In this book, Osho comes across a little too strong in his guru role, but if you can overlook and make room for this, you will find some insightful ideas. The Q&A chapters do not pertain to the sutra, so my guess is that they were pulled randomly from other Osho talks for filler. Recommended for Buddhists studying the Heart Sutra, but not to first time Osho readers. For them, I reccomend that they check out The Book of Secrets and The Book of Nothing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sannyasin, March 10, 2007
It is wonderful to have located another copy of The Heart Sutra! I have the 1978 first edition, and wanted another "fresh" copy to have on hand to share with friends. The Heart Sutra is full of clear and subtle hints and insights on how we can each choose to live a more conscious and loving life. It brings up memories of sitting with the master and drinking his words and presence... such delight! "Love, life, laughter!"

It might seem a bit out of order, but what can more we do than believe in love as the source of whatsoever exist
