5.0 out of 5 stars Tommy Page at his best, March 12, 2003

Do you remember Tommy Page? Do you remember that sweet, angelic voice? Tommy was at his best when he poured his heart out in his weepy love songs. You remember...that's what we were all crazy over him for. Those mournful ballads like "Never Gonna Fall In Love Again" just ripped your heart out and nobody could rip your heart out quite like Tommy. When you broke up with your boyfriend or girlfriend who did you put on to help you fully experience your agony? Tommy. Whenever you needed a good cry Tommy was your man. You get your fill of some of Tommy's best love ballads on this album. In my humble opinion, this is, by far, Tommy's best album. There are also a few upbeat, pop tunes on this album. The pop tunes have a very typical 80's feel to them that is reminiscent of Wham! at times. The upbeat tunes are fresh and fun but you may find yourself reaching for the skip button when a fast tune comes up because you'll just want to hear that sweet little voice whisper things like, "No matter where I go, no matter what I do, deep down in my heart I'll still be close to you" Tommy was born to sing love ballads and everyone knows that. If you are one of the people who would rate "Paintings in My Mind" and "Tommy Page" a ten out of ten then "From the Heart" will blow your mind. "From the Heart" isn't easy to find because anyone who's lucky enough to own a copy isn't ever going to give it up. If you find a copy somewhere you will understand what I'm talking about. You will love this album and "Never Gonna Fall In Love Again" is guaranteed to break your heart like nothing else.

4.0 out of 5 stars The singing male Marilyn Monroe, March 29, 2005
This review is from: From the Heart (Audio CD)
Tommy can sing breathy pop like no other. He drizzles his songs in his patented smooth and sexy voice and at the same time can convince you his heart is breaking with every note crooned. His charm sells every lyric and you'll buy it like a sixteen year old boy in Britney Spears dressing room. Don't mistake his sentiment as hollow commercialism. He writes and composes most of his lyrics and as the title of this album states, it all comes 'from the heart.' If you're a tortured soul and feel like you're the only one going thru what you're going thru in this cruel, crazy, beautiful world, pick up one of Tommy's albums and find a kindred spirit.
