About the Author
Steven Boone was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1952. Raised in Illinois, New York, and then Washington, DC, he excelled in art at an early age, and in 1976 earned a degree in painting from the Maryland Institute, College of aArt in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating, Steven settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he now resides with his wife and youngest daughter. His art studio abounds with landscape, figurative, and abstract paintings, some of which were inspired by the death of his oldest daughter, Naomi, in the summer of 1999. Exhibited in Santa Fe, and on the Web, at stevenboone.com, his oil-on-canvas works resonate with the play of shadow and light.
