5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, Amazing, Simply Wonderful
The CD:
The tracks on this CD were just beautifully arranged, and preformed. I wasn't quite sure for "Love Will Tear Us Apart" since it was by Joy Division, but Fall Out Boy preformed it amazingly. My favorite track, and the shortest one at that, has got to be "it's not a side effect of the cocaine, i am thinking it must be love" It's written brilliantly...

2.0 out of 5 stars One of the worst covers and one of the best songs
The Joy Division cover is horrid and is vomit inducing. And this is coming from someone who enjoys the Nouvelle Vague cover.

The acoustic version of Nobody puts baby in the corner is brilliant. Pitch the dastardly electric version.

Fallout Boy overachieves. They are awesome at genius and are awesome at sucking.

The DVD:
Only a small section of this DVD is similar to Release The Bats, but the rest (story, videos, preformance, and cutting room floor) were quite good. I especially enjoyed the acoustic preformances of Saturday, Grenade Jumper, Dead on Arrivial, and more.

If you love Fall Out Boy or just acoustic music, I strongly incourage you to buy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Acoustic CD, March 3, 2006
This review is from: My Heart Will Always Be B-Side to My Tongue (Audio CD)
To the last reviewer, perhaps this is the more sensitive side of Fall Out Boy, but is that necessarily bad? Their acoustic stuff is AMAZING, or are you too obsessed about whether this is "real" punk music or not? Honestly, doesn't it matter more the MATERIAL IN THE CD, not the LABEL? Everyone has their own opinions on music and I'm going to express mine....

This CD rocks. Hands down. The music is heartfelt and you feel as if they're playing a private concert just for you. I like Fall Out Boy's other stuff, too, but I bought this after listening to "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy" first and fell in love with it instantly. The other stuff is just as amazing, too, so you won't be disappointed. The DVD is good, as well - you get an inside view into their band. This cd is worth the money if you like acoustic-ly driven music. Give it a try even if it isn't your thing. :)

Overall point: I LOVE THIS CD. Emotive and raw acoustic, this music really makes you think. The lyrics are deep. They express careful planning, as does the acoustic riffs. I recommend this whole-heartedly. <33

4.0 out of 5 stars Great acoustic EP, December 7, 2005
This review is from: My Heart Will Always Be B-Side to My Tongue (Audio CD)
This EP is for people who like acoustic music or people who really like fall out boy. The dvd that comes with it is a nice bonus for fans.
Impressive songs include "My heart is the worst kind of weapon" and "Love will tear us apart".
"Its not a side effect of the cocaine..." is sort of mediocre in my opinion, but that is just in comparison to the other excellent songs on the ep.
I didnt really like the verses in "grand theft autumn"...they just didnt sound that great vocals wise...the rest of the song is good though.
Fans will also appreciate the acoustic version of "nobody puts baby in the corner", a song that has now moved on to be a full band song on "from under the cork tree"

If you like this acoustic EP, I also suggest you check out The Make Yourself At Home EP by The Starting Line

5.0 out of 5 stars Get it straight., January 17, 2006
This review is from: My Heart Will Always Be B-Side to My Tongue (Audio CD)
Ok, so i have been following Fall Out Boy since Warped Tour '03 and "Under The Cork Tree" is a great album along with their "Take This to Your Grave." One thing you must realize however, is that these are the origional versions of the songs such as "Nobody Puts a Baby in the Corner." "Under the Cork Tree" came out after this album, so bashing on them is ridiculous. I think that it is a great album and it shows that Patrick has a diversity of vocal talents. A+

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!!!, May 20, 2004
This review is from: My Heart Will Always Be B-Side to My Tongue (Audio CD)
This album is everything a good acoustic project should be: heartfelt, sharp, and amazing! Every song on this disc is great, including the cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart". "Grand Theft Autumn" is also much different from the electric version, but is a way that fits the acoustic sound perfectly. The included dvd is also a very entertaining distraction. Pick this one up, you won't be disappointed!

4.0 out of 5 stars Where is your boy tonight?, August 3, 2004
This review is from: My Heart Will Always Be B-Side to My Tongue (Audio CD)
If you are a Fall Out Boy fan, this album is a must. If you have ever heard Fall Out Boy live, I do not even know why you are hesitating to purchase this EP---so, I will tell you, it is amazing! The guitar sound is so strong, it feels like they are sitting in the room playing for you. The lyrics are both cynical and, in FOB style, bitter. It is great to hear the new songs from the guys, and they deliver them so well on this album! My only wish is that there were more than 5 songs. The DVD is just an added bonus and a step back from the real reason to buy--the MUSIC!!

This EP/DVD is so addicting! Not only is the DVD so hilarious but the EP has the best acoustic I've ever heard! Patrick Strump(lead singer) shows his real talent for guitar and vocals and Pete Wentz( bassist) has done a wonderful job with the lyrics! An excellent buy!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Fall Out Boy!, December 30, 2011

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: My Heart Will Always Be B-Side to My Tongue (Audio CD)
I got this CD after I already had: From Under The Cork Tree, Infinity On High, Folie A Deux, and Take This To Your Grave. I was looking for other Fall Out Boy music that was new to me. It's a great value for the price. It's only 5 songs but there is a dvd too. Definetly worth it. They sound great performing all the songs acoustic. My favorite song is: Love Will Tear Us Apart, followed closely by My Heart Is The Worst Kind Of Weapon. If you are a fan of Fall Out Boy, you defintely need to buy this!!

5.0 out of 5 stars incredible, March 25, 2008

This album opened my eyes to how great acoustic versions are. I am a true music fan; i enjoy death metal, as well as classical. I LIKE JAZZ FUSION!!!!!! Anyways, I was blown away by the version of Nobody Puts Baby in Corner on this album. Its easily one of my favourite songs of all time. It really just makes the song much more sincere and it just puts me in a very relaxed mood when i hear it. I would recommend this entire CD to absolutely ANYONE that enjoys music at all, as it is a must-have for anyone's music collection.

On the topic of acoustic VERSIONS, this album made me look for more acoustic versions of things: In Utero by Nirvana (MTV Unplugged) is absolutely incredible. One of my favourites of all time. Another song that all people that enjoy like emo music, or just punk or alternative in general must get Face Down (Acoustic Version) by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. its a great song that is easily four-thousand times better than the plugged-in version.

:]
