IN THE HEART OF THE WIND is a fantastic story. Charlotte Boyett-Compo has once again shown us her masterful talent as we become enthralled with this story of both light and dark. We become caught up in the story of Gabe as loving husband with a secret past. We watch his transformation into the creature his family turns him into. We also have the light side in this suspenseful tale as watch the members of the Iowa town rally and hatch a plot to regain Gabe. I have to admit, my favorite character in this tale is Edna Mae, the feisty older woman with money and sense. This is the second book in Charlee's WindTorn Series and a masterful and complex thriller and makes this a definite must read!! A roller coaster of a story that keeps the reader engaged all the time and keeps you guessing what will happen next.
