"Heart to Yours" the debut gospel album from Michelle Williams, which is a great escape from the constantly reiterated pop songs. I feel that this album expresses Michelle true inner-beauty and love for other. Michelle was able to actually reflect her views in this album, which she is unable to do with Destiny's Child since she didn't write any song on the "Survivor" album. Michelle Williams wrote a good portion of the tracks on this album which is great for this being her first solo project. I am pleased with the fact that she used the third person in a few songs because like in pop music to day, singers sound so selfish talking about themselves, its nice to hear one faith in others.

Track Listing:

1.) Heart To Yours - This is a beautiful song in which Michelle sings what is in her heart and spreads that positive message into your souls.

2.) Heard A Word - This song is creative and motivational, its one of those songs that gets you through the day.

3.) So Glad (Duet With Mary Mary) - This song is by far my favorite song on this album. It has a strong hip-hop vibe and the women sound great as they take turns reiterating the extremely catchy chorus.

4.) Sun Will Shine Again - This track is very peaceful and relaxing to listen too simply because its beat is so floridly mellow.

5.) Better Place (9.11) - This is another one of the highlights on this album. As we have all been trying to alleviate the pain and negative feelings that we have had ever since 9.11, here is a song that doesn't tell you to forget but that life does go on after such tragedies.

6.) Change The World - This is a motivational track that basically indicates that one should be changed by the world, but should change the world in their own way by being involved and sharing ones input.

7.) Everything - This is another hip-hop fused track that just give you a vibe of what your daily music give you along with a message of everything is going to be alright.

8.) You Care For Me (Featuring Isaac Caree & Lowell Pye of men of Standard) - This is a great collaboration and one of the strongest gospel compelling song on this album.

9.) Steal Away To Jesus (Duet With Shirley Caesar) - This song has a great vibe to it and when you listen to it, it's just like being in church listening to a live gospel choir.

10.) Rock With Me - This song is pretty up-tempo and has a little bit of hip-hop and rock fused into the beat. This is just one of the feel good song that make you want to move.

11.) Gospel Medley (Featuring Destiny's Child) - This was the hot medley featured on the Destiny's Child album "Survivor" and if you have not checked this track out already, than I think its time you do so.

12.) Bonus Track: Heaven (Featuring Carl Thomas) - This track is one of my favorites, Michelle and Carl just mesh well together. The power of two great voices belting out their inner feeling is one of the most enjoyable item to listen to.

I'm not lying when I'm saying that there is a bit of everything for everyone on this album and if you don't believe me than check it out yourself. I don't really practice religion but I thought it was beautiful on how I was able to relate to every song on this album. If your still not convinced to buy this album, then buy it because you all know that Michelle is the best singer of Destiny's Child anyway.

Michelle Williams was born to sing Gospel music! She not only sings from her heart unto the Lord as in the title "Heart To Yours", but she also tries to live the life. Take one read of Destiny's Child autobiography book "Soul Survivors", and you'll see that she has morals most people dream about. I loved this album. I found a sincerity that cannot be faked. The title song "Heart To Yours" flows effortlessly and expresses her love for the Lord. "Heard A Word" ministers while "So Glad" brings that Mary Mary flava to the mix and wil make you glad you heard it. "Sun Will Shine Again" is a joyful song that lets you know no matter how it may rain that the sun will shine again, because Joy comes in the morning! "Better Place" is dedicated to 9.11, and brings about the peace that comes with trusting God! "Change The World" will fill anyone with purpose and self-esteem, you'll realize that you can change the world and not to let the world change you! "Everything" bounces along while "You Care For Me" featuring Men of Standard is a slow ballad that'll get you in the mood to start praising the Lord! "Steal Away To Jesus" is the album's gem simply because it features Pastor Shirley Caesar. Michelle more than holds her own and it's a tribute to a powerful Spiritual classic that once gave African-Americans when in bondage as slaves peace and perseverance knowing that they didn't have long to stay bound, because a better place waited for the them through Jesus! "Rock With Me" shows another side of Michelle where she rocks with the best of them. It's starts off slow and takes it to another level with Jesus Christ being the Rock of Salvation! If you liked Natalie Wilson & S.O.P. Chorale's "The Rock", you'll love this! "Gospel Medley" featuring Destiny's Child is the only track I truly liked on D.C.'s album, and it has found its true home on this album. The bonus track "Heaven" brings me back to the days when BeBe and CeCe ruled gospel and I must say Michelle and Carl Thomas does them justice!

This album is a great addition to any music collection and an album you can listen to from beginning to end with listening pleasure. God worked through Michelle Williams and she truly is an instrument of His praise on this album! This "Church Girl" can truly sing her heart unto the Lord! God is Love!

Ever since she joined Destiny's Child, I knew Michelle Williams was a remarkable talent. However, it wasn't until i purchased this CD that I realized just how remarkable she is. I literally wanted to cry after listening to some of these tracks. I think she has found a home in gospel music, and I know she has touched me in a way I have never felt. This is NOTHING like the typical Destiny's Child song, rather she infuses her own soft, angelic style into each song. Here a few of my favorites:

- So Glad (with Mary Mary): it's upbeat and will make you nod your head. Great beat, but you can actually hear the beautiful lyrics as well.
- Everything: one word: Encouraging.
- You Care For Me (feat. Men of Standard): the singlemost beautiful song I have ever heard. She shows that she can harmonize with the best of them as well as blow on her own. When she belts out "You're my wonderful counselor", I literally shouted Hallejulah!!! I listen to this over and over again.
- Steal Away (with Shirely Cesar): a beautiful remake of a classic spiritual. She doesn't overpower Cesar, but their voices flow beautifully together.
- Rock With Me: The biggest surprise on the album. It starts off with a beautiful church classic, then becomes a hip-hop, rock upbeat jam. I believe this is the kind of breakthrough music that people are looking for. I wish the whole world could hear this song!
- Gospel Medley (with DC): I've heard it before, but it was a more than perfect addition to the flow of the album. I can distinguish her voice now too.
- Heaven (feat. Carl Thomas): I think they do it better than CC and BB, a great song to play over and over.

Basically, if you need a break from the pop mess you hear all over the radio, you MUST get this album! I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised and inspired, whether you are a DC fan or not. Go head Michelle and please keep hearing from God and blessing us with song!!! I love ya!!!

THIS ALBUM WILL BLESS YOU IN WAYS YOU CANNOT DESCRIBE. SHE USES HER SOFT, SWEET, BUT YET TOUCHING VOICE TO ENCOURAGE AND LIFT YOU UP HIGHER IN THE LORD.

1.HEART TO YOURS- THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS ON THE CD. IT IS HER PERSONAL CONVERSATION WITH THE LORD. VERY UP-BEAT AND A GREAT WAY TO START THE ALBUM.

2.HEARD A WORD- THIS IS THE 1ST SINGLE FROM THE ALBUM AND JUST LETS US KNOW THAT ALL WE NEED IS A WORD FROM AND IF WE ABIDE BY THAT WORD WE WE CANNOT GO WRONG.

3.SO GLAD(WITH MARY MARY)- HAS A VERY UP-BEAT TEMPO AND FEATURES A VERY SPEACIAL APPEARENCE BY GOSPEL-DUO MARY MARY. THIS A SONG THAT WILL MAKE YOU VERY HAPPY AND GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE. IT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPIER PERIOD. THIS IS ANOTHER FAVORITE.

4.SUN WILL SHINE AGAIN- THIS IS A SONG OF ENCOURGEMENT AND HOPE. MID-TEMPO AND VERY SOOTHING TO THE SPIRIT.

5.BETTER PLACE- THIS SONG IS DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO STILL WEEP OVER 9-11-01 AND JUST LETS YOU KNOW THAT ONE DAY WE ARE GOING TO HEAVEN TO BE WITH JESUS.

6.CHANGE THE WORLD- THIS IS A MID-TEMPO SONG THATS SAYS "CHANGE THE WORLD DONT LET THE WORLD CHANGE YOU" AND SHE COULD NOT BE MORE RIGHT. DONT COMPROMISE ALL THE GIFTS GOD HAS BLESSED YOU WITH, HE HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE. LET HIM USE YOU AS HIS VESSEL.

7.EVERYTHING- THIS SONG JUST LETS YA KNOW THAT EVERYTHING WILL WORK AND TURN OUT FINE AND ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS BELIEVE IT.

8.YOU CARE FOR ME(FEATURING MEN OF STANDARD)- THIS SONG WILL HELP YOU RELAX MORE IN THIS LIFE. THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG BECAUSE IT HELPS ME SLEEP, LIVE, AND RELAX KNOWING GOD IS WATCHING AND HE CARES AND KNOWS WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH.***************

9.STEAL AWAY TO JESUS(DDUET WITH PASTOR SHIRLEY CAESAR)- THIS IS THE TRADITIONAL SONG ON THE ALBUM. IT FEATURES THE FIRST LADY OF GOSPEL SHIRLEY CAESAR. GO TO JESUS IN PRAYER NO MATTER WHAT TIME IT IS.

10. THIS IS A URBAN/ROCK/GOSPEL SONG. IT BEGINS SLOW AND GROWS MORE LATER IN THE SONG. GREAT SONG!

11.GOSPEL MEDLEY(WITH DESTINYS CHILD)- WAS FEATURED ON THE GROUP'S MULTI PLATINUM AND GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ALBUM "SURVIVOR AND WILL TOUCH YOUR HEART. (ACAPELLA!)

12.HEAVEN(WITH CARL THOMAS)- IS A REMAKE OF THE BEBE AND CECE WINANS CLASSIC "HEAVEN" AND THEY SING IT JUST AS WELL.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS IS SURE TO GAIN FAME IN THE GOSPEL INDUSTRY WITH THIS CD AND AND I KNOW WILL MULTIPLE AWARDS. WITH THE HELP OF GOD, HER PRODUCERS AND HER GREAT VOCALS THIS ALBUM WILL GO FAR. MICHELLE, I LOVE YOU AND THANK GOD FOR BEING SAVED AND FOR YOU BEING SAVED...C.O.G.I.C. REPRESENTIN!!

I waited for this CD with great anticipation. And now that I have it, it's always in my CD player. Heart to Yours is an excellent CD. Michelle did a wonderful job. I love all the songs on the cd, except Rock with Me. I wish she would have wrote another song rather than putting the gospel medley from the Destiny's Child Survivor Album. My favorite sings are: Heart to Yours, Heard a Word, So Glad, Change the World, and much more. Michelle's voice is so sweet and angelic, she needs to go solo where her voice will be heard and get some kind of recognition..that she's not getting in Destiny's Child. But thats just a thought. Michelle, keep singing, you have a beautiful voice. Your time will come in due season.

I cant believe this cd doesnt have a review written! This is a beautiful cd and got me through a hard time. I pray Michelle turns completely from the world and completely to Christ.

Sometimes Michelle seems to act as though she doesn't know she can SING.. and I don't know why she does that, but she can. She has a different voice.. very reserved, yet strong. I feel she was overshadowed by Beyonce and Kelly while active in Destiny's Child, but now she proves she can hold her own vocally.

This CD is a good blend of musical elements, incorporating jazz, neosoul, gospel, and r & b to make a smash CD.

Favorite songs are "Heart To Yours", "So Glad", "Everything", "You Care For Me", "Steal Away" (what an honor it must be to perform w/the legendary Shirley Caesar!), and I love the harmony of "Gospel Medley".

There are certain songs that you can listen to and know she means what she says. Well, just about every song on this album is like that. Seamless production, great vocal carriage, and lyrics.

As recently Tenitra Michelle William's album "Heart to Yours" going directly to No1 at the Gospel charts for a few weeks I decided to check out her album. The hit Gospel single "Heard A Word" is definatly my favorite. If you're expecting the over-produced, booty-singing material from Destiny's Child of yesteryear then don't look here, for there's none. Rather "Heart to Yours" is full of beautiful, inspirational and uplifting songs. In light of the recent 9/11 anniversary you'll find comfort in her tribute to those events on the peaceful "Better Place (9/11)" or the inspirational "Sun Will Shine Again." Other highlights include a shining duet with fellow Gospel mates Mary Mary (no quite contrary pun intended) called "So Glad." I found "Rock with Me" a little boring and cheezy, but I do like how she threw in "Gospel Medly" from the "Survivor" album-definatly an approvement from the for a laugh "version" of "Amazing Grace" from "Writings on the Wall." Their harmonies are near perfect. With a great bunch of beautiful, inspirational songs I really reccomend this CD to families of the victims of 9/11 as well as people who are just trying to get over it or having trouble in life. I give "Heart To Yours" an A+ rating. PS: No Michelle is not leaving Destiny's Child. They are all doing their own thing for a while and will get back together soon.

I love this album! I am always on the look out for smooth flows that uplift the name of Christ. I am really picky about the style of the music, the way that the beat comes in, the bass, what and how an artist sings. This album passed my crucial examination. "Heard A Word" and "Heart To Yours" are just two of my favorites. If you like the flow....I recommend Lisa McClendon, LeJeune Thompson, Spiritual Pieces, and Ruby Collins all Christian artists available through amazon.com. I know you won't be dissapointed. I have them all!!!!

I'm brazilian and I've always followed the success of DC and I give a special focus on Michelle and Kelly. Michelle with her soft voice, her simple and special style are items that for me are more important than the extravagance of Beyoncè. This Cd is full of God inspiration and gifts, I love it and the second album too...Go Michelle!
