This book is a tool that all women will want to utilize. Nancy Groom does a wonderful job of giving us some practical ways that we can improve our existing relationships-- whether they be our father(or mother), our husband, our brother (or sister) our friend, or our Lord. The title says Heart to Heart About Men, but it's even more than that. The invitation to women of integrity speaks to the way that we live our lives, and conduct ourselves in the most important accomplishment in life-- connection with others.

We so often want to "help" the men in our lives along in their spiritual journeys, without realizing that they are so busy trying to respond to us that they are unavailable to listen to God's leading. I have learned so much in Nancy's gentle entreaty to prayer and deeper expression of love toward the Father, who is able to accomplish all that concerns people we care so much about, for He cares all the more.

This book and other Nancy Groom books are what every woman needs to hear and take to heart in assisting in our overcoming the fallen nature we daily struggle with. Nancy Groom has definitely heard from the Throne Room of God and her words so eloquently paint a bullseye right to ones heart. On every page I found myself saying, "wow, this lady really knows me", " how does she know me so well?" Her words minister deeply as they speak profound truth. Her book, Risking Intimacy is even better. :-)

I read this book as part of a twelve-week Bible study on marriage. I learned SO much from it about the relationship between me and my husband, but the book is also extremely helpful for improving all relationships. I met Nancy Groom personally when she came to our church as the featured speaker at a women's retreat; she is a fantastic human being who has endured much suffering and heartache in her marriage. She and her husband stuck it out and now are more in love than ever. Her wonderful insight was gained during this time of sorrow; that's what she seeks to share through her books and lectures. Everything in the book is totally sound scripturally, and her writing style makes it an easy read. This is one you have to get if you want to learn more about how to have a joyful, fulfilling, God-honoring relationship with the one(s) you love.

This is one of the best books I have ever read! Nancy Groom leads us to the very heart of God as she leads us to consider who we are as His image-bearers. Whether single or married (female or male) this book encouragers us to move towards one another as we entrust our hearts to God. The Gospel is presented in paragraph!

If you have trouble relating to God as a male father figure because of being treated poorly in the past by men, then this book will help you learn to trust God and understand that he does love you. It will also help you to let go of trying to control your husband and let God work in his life. This book changed my spiritual life and improved my marriage.

Havent read it all yet, but if a Christian Marriage Counselor recommended it, that is good enough for me!

I have to admit, from the title I didn't have a lot of hope that I would like this book. I read it with my book club and it was their selection, not mine. I was VERY pleasantly surprised! I would highly recommend it. It is great for women in every situation, single, married, divorced or whatever. I found out more about myself and my relationship to God than anything. Read it, you'll see for yourself.
