If ever there was a perfct example of the phrase "Old wine new bottle" this album would be it. For someone like me who always loves to hear a classic evergreen country song reconditioned by one of the best contemporary artists around, this would be it. This album, like most if not all of his others, is totally wrapped in truly authentic country music.
A must have for all David Ball fans, so if you are not one get a copy and you'll know what I mean.

This is pure country music at its best. I've enjoyed listening to it several times already.

This is truly as beautiful as authentic country music could be. I dare you to buy this album and listen to it without being moved. Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!

I just received David's new albums today, and have been listening to it all afternoon It is really good and I am so glad he has released another album.

Combining these classic songs (amazingly most I'd never heard before - thanks for nothing radio!) with a great singer and a top-notch band is heaven. Everyone involved SINKS THEIR TEETH into these songs. There is no laying back and taking it easy here - most of these songs swing hard, and it's clear everyone is having a good time.
"Please Feed The Jukebox" is my personal favorite,if I had to choose one.
The production and sound is is top-notch too. Two thumbs up folks! Worth every penny.

This record is as good as it gets! the ever widening "Country" genre that includes pop, alt, southern rock, et al, and "new country" ( as if something was wrong with the "old" country) can sometimes make it tough for lovers of the genuine article to find those rare best in class artists and their records. If you know who Lefty Frizzell and Bob Wills were, if you thank god for George Jones, or can't even imagine life without George Strait, Alan Jackson, Marty Stuart, and Dwight Yoakam, then you must own this record and add David Ball to your personal country Hall of Fame.
